OUYA - Android Powered Game Console

Anyone heard about this? The OUYA game console is an open source console that runs on the Android OS. Their intention is to bring mobile games to your television. That's not to say those are the only games you can expect to play on it, they have said that Final Fantasy III will be a launch title (and a possibility of Minecraft). They are collecting funds via Kickstarter and expecting to deliver their goods in March (to backers of the project who have pledged $99 or more).

Read about it on their Kickstarter page:

And some skepticism about the project:

Re: OUYA - Android Powered Game Console

I read about the Ouya awhile ago and it seems pretty solid. It's an amazing concept and I can't wait to give it a try, however, like all consoles and new systems, we have to see how it is when it comes out. But I don't have any crazy doubts about it since it's practically the netflix of the video game world.
