Sorry if this ones been covered before (I didn't see it) but I want to know if anyones into the Guilty Gear series. Which games they have, their favourite characters, movesets etc...and same goes for Blaz Blue.
I have for the ps2 Guilty Gear X, Guilty Gear Isuka, Guilty Gear X2 #reload. And for the psp I have Blaz Blue Calamity Trigger, which I only disovered relatively recently. I wouldn't mind getting continuum shift. I'm pretty sure both titles are by Arc Systems works.
Onto the games! Best 2D fighters since street fighter, without a doubt. The paralells between the games are obvious, although they both have a distinctly different feel. Even some of the characters are similar. Guilty Gear X is definitely my favourite though. I main Sol (naturally) hes just so good. I also get on with Ky (his steadfastness to justice is inspiring, and being a Holy Knight hes automatically a great character), Jam, May, Chipp, Justice and Dizzy.
Sorry, I know this is long. Maybe I'll save my faves on BlazBlue for my next post (if anyone replies)

i play blaze blue on the xbox got both blaze blue and cs there both fun. never herd of guilty gear i have to look into it.
Guilty Gear was Ark System Works previous fighting game series before switching to Blazblue.
I have the PS3 versions for Blazblue: Calamity Trigger and Blazblue: Continuum Shift. It's my favorite fighting game series by far, especially with the introduction of the "simple controls" option in Continuum Shift.
I bought Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus for the PS2 recently, but I wasn't really impressed with the game. Probably because it lacks a few features that I like in Blazblue.
Ark System Works also makes another fighting game series called Arcana Heart. The third game is available on the PSN for $30 (PS3 version only).

I actually haven't played that guilty gear title but I'm told its not as good as reload. But its true blazblue probably does have more features in general, I can't really talk for continuum shift, although I have played the x-box version.
Honestly...I had no idea. Sounds intruiging. Although I have...problems...with my psn network as a result of that fiasco a while back so its unlikely I'll buy it. Still I'll check it out.
Give Guilty Gear a chance though. Its older I know, but when you unlock the "Gold" versions of the characters..hoo boy...thats a hoot. Gold Sol is extremely difficult to defeat with his vastly improved speed, strength, defence, constant tension bar and constant health regeneration.
As for BlazBlue I lean towards Jin Kisaragi and Faye Litchi and probably V-13 as my best characters. But don't you think Jin (BB)and Ky Kiske (GG) look way too similar, even though their personalities couldn't be much more opposite. Ky is compassionate and honourable. And Ragna (BB)reminds me too much of Sol Badguy (GG).
Blazblue has a similar feature called "unlimited". They are hard to unlock, but you can buy the unlock code on the PSN. It's quite impressive playing the unlimited version of the character and easily execute a 100 hit combo.
And Mu-12 (Noel's real form) pays homage to Dizzy from Guilty Gear. In fact, one of her alternate colors you can buy from the PSN make her look like Dizzy.

Oh I know about "unlimited". in the psp CT its really really easy to unlock those. You buy them cheaply lol.
And I totally forgot Noel is probably my best character. How could I forget her?! However I did not know about this alternate Noel...thats a spoiler for me right there. She must be only in continuum shift.
In CT, only four character's unlimited modes can be unlocked, the other 8 have to be purchased. In Continuum Shift, they can all be unlocked by defeating Score Attack mode with each character. However, that's the hardest mode in the game. It's much easier just to buy them.
Correct! She (Mu-12) is the final boss in Continuum Shift's story mode and she's an unlockable (or purchasable) character.
