I played Sonic Colors for the first time yesturday, and all I can think of is speed now. I beat a lot of the game, just rushing as fast as possible and getting a crap load of rings. I think its the fastest game i've gotten into. It loaded, i started with my gamecube controller and boom level 1 started without any backstory, but I think that's cause I told it not to or something. I'm glad that theres another good sonic game out, since I've only liked 3 so far. Sonic DX (or adventure as the original or something) Sonic heroes and sonic riders! I really hope they can keep this up cause they've been on a downfall for a long time, so hopefully now they can compete with mario again, maybe make a second dreamcast featuring an exculsive Sonic game. Now i'm over my head.
And according to the newest Sonic Generations news, Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic will be the only playable characters in the whole game. I knew it had something to do with messing with timelines/loops. XD
I wonder what role the other characters such as Amy, Tails, Knuckles, etc. play. They're confirmed as part of the story, but it doesn't say how. ?__?
Well, if you go by the coding for the demo characters like Metal Sonic, Shadow, and Silver are going to be bosses for their respective levels. I'm guessing Knuckles and Tails are going to be with Sonic for the whole game or maybe even Shadow and Amy included. An early interview said Sonic and his FRIENDS got sent back. Who knows for sure though? As long as the characters are there I'm alright with the game. I'm happy they are going to back Shadow to his SA2 roots. IMO that's the only time he was a great character.
Sonic is awesome, Sonic 2 was my first game EVER! And I have world records for speed runs of Sonic 1, 3, and Knuckles on Twin Galaxies' website. Regardless of criticisms of modern Sonic it is still awesome!

(and no im not being sarcastic im serious, you would not belive how hard it is to find a decent Sonic fan these days...but then again, its hard to find good fans of anything at times, lol.)

Thank you, I even liked Sonic 06 (*angry mob marches towards me) despite very minor bugs, I think the music, variety of game play and final battle were all a nice change of pace. I like the way Metal Sonic is with his arrogance and Mephi(stophe)les was by far the greatest villain in Sonic, with his demonic glare and dark theme, and since he proved a threat beyond most villains.
I'm quite a big fan of Sonic (though not nearly as much as Mario) when the Hedgehog's at the top of his game. I seriously need to catch up on the games, though--I'm interested in the Sonic Adventure series, the Sonic Advance series, the Sonic Rush series, Sonic Chronicles, Sonic Heroes, Secret Rings, Sonic Colors...
I've heard enough negativity about Sonic 2006 to turn me off, but that game does have one bright spot. The song "His World" (ESPECIALLY the remix for the final boss) is an absolute masterpiece.
Sonic 3 and Knuckles is my favorite game thus far.

In my opinion (OPINION PEOPLE), Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is the best one. The storyline, soundtrack and level design were all great! The Chao World also kept me busy, I really enjoyed raising them and having them compete in races and karate.
I would love to see Sonic Adventure 2 remastered and released on Xbox Live like with Sonic Adventure DX, would buy it instantly!
The two Sonic Adventure games have the highest replay value for me to date (have them both on Gamecube). Recent Sonic games have been disappointing though (although that Sonic Generations does sound interesting); the last one I really liked was Shadow the Hedgehog (got Sonic Riders and Sonic Rivals but didn't like those as much). Also, Sega should've just stuck with the original voice actors (for the Sonic Adventures and Sonic Heroes) as opposed to going to 4Kids as use theirs (some of them were good like Knuckles, Sonic, and Shadow, but the casting didn't need to be changed; it worked surprisingly well for Shadow the Hedgehog). I mostly play the classics or soon-to-be-classics nowadays, but I don't doubt the fact that there can be a good Sonic game in present day. I still like Sonic games, but I do need to find a pretty good one for the PS3 and PSP.
