True. It's supposed to take place in a more realistic world that is more similar to our's, so I'm excited to see how it will turn out. All of the gameplay footage has been spectacular, though.
I keep hearing mixed messages about 13-2. I've heard it takes place after the events of 13 (which makes sense mostly from the teaser trailer that was released on XBOX 360) but everything else I've read says it takes place BEFORE 13, which is why Lightning is wearing that weird armor and such. But I have NO idea, as I've only seen the teaser trailer and thus imagine it takes place AFTER 13.
(But srsly, what's up with Lightning's armor? Since when did 13's universe turn into our old 8 and 16 bit universe's with characters in full scale midevil armor regalia?)

And speaking of XIII-2, seems that you can do more than just the typical XIII battle system. Square Enix added QTEs and the feature of adding a monster to fight with you.
FF13-2 looks promising, I'm assuming the game not taking long to do is down to the shser amount of content Square keep saying they cut from the original FF13 game, thus they have a lot of assets to use to speed up development, either way I'm happy it won't be a girl power esq game like FF X-2 was. Anything to me would be better than that. And speaking of which, in that trailer with Serah and Noel, where is Snow?
Was anyone else dissapointed that they didn't remake FF7? When the PS3 came out they showed how awesome it was by remaking the first scene with Cloud, but then they said they weren't planning on doing anything else. That was kind of disapointing

FF7 doesn't need to be remade. Although, if they really wanted profit, FF7 remake would make all of those fanboys "scream." However, I would def like to see Crisis Core on the PS3 in in 720P-1080P, with a bit more added features and extended.
I've just started getting into the FInal Fantasy games. I own Finaly Fantasy IV for Ninetendo DS and I really enjoyed playing it. I was looking into buying Final Fantasy III on DS but I want to know a little about the story and game functions before purchasing it.

Really? I found 4 to be the weakest of all the FFs I've played.
On a side note, I started FF8 this afternoon (finally) I only made it like 10 minutes into the game though because I'd just got home from school and the calming music put me to sleep.

Think it has to do with the dimension she's in.

Personally I don't think FF7 needs remaking, it would be nice yes, however the game is fine as it is.
The FF7 remake was dropped in favour of Crisis Core, which was (and is) an amazing game.
FF7 doesn't need to be remade, but if it is to be, then Square Enix will make it their trump card.

IMO, CC made FF7 look like a joke.
