Castlevania is one of my favorites, though I'm still fairly new to the game series. (The Contra series is my Konami favorite) Castlevania has a pretty deep, interesting story which manages to tie in with most of the games in the series. I've only completed 5 of the games, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (All NES), Super Castlevania 4 (SNES) and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS)
Other than Symphony of the Night, I've played all that you've mentioned and more.
Some people say you have to choose what gameplay style you like for Castlevania...but if you ask me, both the classic style and the Metroidvania style make a good fun time.
I think my favorite of the NES classics is Dracula's Curse. I love the alternate routes and the ally system.t r
My most recently acquired were Portrait of Ruin and Dawn of Sorrow. ^__^

I know there are plenty more of them to play.

I recently got Order of Ecclesia.
For a few reasons that I'll elaborate on later, this is probably the handheld installment I was looking forward to playing the most.
