So, Michiko & Hatchin is by far probably the highest quality series Funi has picked up in a very long time. It's also pretty niche in that it looks nothing like the hyper-uguu-anime-colorful shows like Zombie desu and Baka whatever and may not warrant a high budget.
It's a show that takes place entirely in a fictional South American country where nearly every character is black or Hispanic and full of personality. Will Funi cast people to reflect this, like they did with Baccano! or did I wait 5 years to hear a really white-sounding bunch Funi regulars dryly perform the show? I'll die if Clinkenbeard is even present in the main cast.
I am concerned.

Based on con panel talk and such, this sounds like a property FUNi is really excited about. That being said, I don't think there's any point in worrying about dub quality before any details have been announced.
As a Clinkenbeard fan I find your words very rude & offensive good sir, and shall now hope Coleen has multiple roles in the show.
On a more serious note though i'm sure Funi will give the show a solid dub. But i'm also sure no matter how good or bad it may or may not be people will whine/complain about it none the less.
Remember just because a show doesn't have your dream dub cast doesn't mean its bad.

That post comes across as rather rude.
My advice, If you dont like what funi does with the show DONT BUY IT. If you must have the series import a copy without the dub.
I enjoy the series. However there are other recent funi series I enjoy more. But I don't expect them to put more or less care in there dubs based on my taste. I dont care for Baka and test or zombie desu or those types of shows but hey those fans should get a a good dub to. Rather than telling Funi how horrible they are for screwing up a show that hasint come out yet just to mess with you because your "so much smarter" than other anime fans Tell them how badly you want thius dub to be good because its a show your passionte about. I am sorry if I'm being a hard I just hate those kind of attitudes in fandom which is supossed to be a postive experince.
P.S Shangri la was an older title when the dub and while I wasint big on the show itself the dub clearly had a lot of love put into it.

@Soundmonkey: Wouldn't it be excessive for Clinkenbeard to have multiple roles in just one series?
@Gorgo: If you're looking for a dub that's colorful, full of personality and perfectly replicates the characters, then go check out Black Lagoon.

On the issue that TIL Nobu pointed out, the issue of illiteracy comes from the fact that currency exchange rates do not make outsourcing cheaper then dubbing in-house. Look at it like buying a car, 1 EUR = 1.32611 USD so yes buying a Ferrari is cheaper then if 1 EUR = 1USD, but buying a Ford would still be cheaper then buying a Ferrari even if the Euro is in the crapper.
@Norse; Michiko & Hatchin is a high quality show? This whole topic seems more like a stab at moe anime and Funi's in-house dubbing, but the anime you're putting on a pedestal seems like a fun albeit by the numbers "girls shooting runs outside of Japan" style show we've seen many times in the past. I maybe biased to those "uguu" anime, but in a world where more anime is coming out without a dub whining about quality should be the least of your worries.
@St0ck: Well, I'm hoping for them to do some dubs in the future. I'm not saying "outsource every show you get your hands on to them". That would be a bit excessive.

I wonder how Norse would feel if Clickenbeard just directed it?
As for Black lagoon. The dubs good but its not a show I personally like all that much. Thanks for suggesting it though.
Oh and Bang Zoom had tons of work in 2012.
