I'm sure it is way too late to fix it, but if they do maybe that will make yours more valuable

But on a more serious note, you would think they would notice something like that. Kinda makes yea wonder, are the people that spell-check for Funi dyslexic? I mean thats a pretty big and easy to see flub-up

It's not all that easy - it took me a while to work out what was wrong and I was looking for a problem. While the truth is more complication than the meme, a couple of adjacent letter swapped in a familiar word don't stand out that well, especially if you're scanning rather than reading (as per a spine as opposed to a block of prose). Heck, there are words I've misread and "said" wrong in my head for years and not realised it until I've heard them spoken for the first time.

if that were the case you would see this type of thing far more often. Sorry, this is really an embarrassing mess up on their part. There is no excuse, and many have been fired for far less, not that i would hope for someone to lose their job. Now what we don't know is if funi sent it to the printers this way or if manufacturer screwed it up.

This isnt a big deal.if this happened with every release, then there's a problem, but it doesn't.as long as there are no problem with the discs, then every thing is okay.

I don't want to miff you buddy, but are you on glue?

You know, you're right - the discs are fine, great. But a spelling error? It reflects poorly on the company, if my company did that to our customers they'd stop doing business with us - it sets a bad impression, it sends out the message that the company doesn't not care enough to rectify small issues, or that people working there along with the managers (who double chack the work) can't spell, or are complacent - which then begs the question; "why should we do business with these guys? can they be trusted? Can't even spell properly." Sorry, but this is how people think.

Understand the business I'm involved with is not entertainment - but if we let our customers down they lose money, however, it doesn't change the fact that if you make a product - the room for error is borderline 0% - not even enough room for marginal error. You do understand what would happen if Warner Bros put out The Drak Khignt Rises right - it wouldn't fly. A comment like the one posted says to me; "Funimation shouldn't worry about doing it 100% right for the fans - it doesn't matter." No man, it doesn't fly, if the copies of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood I bought or my preorder for Blood - C, Hellsing Ultimate etc. was spelled incorrectly I'd be pretty discouraged and disappointed with Funimation.

And no formal apology was issued, or even addressing that they made a mistake and feel bad about it, that would add fuel to the fire. I understand Funimation is busy - but do the job right.

Even small errors are cause for concern. Sine you have people just waiting to call you out on it just to raise a hassel.

Reports are indicating that the error is only on the left spin of the slipcover. The easiest fix for Funimation is to not include the slipcover in future pressings.

Simple problems yeild simple solutions - see how easy it is to fix?

Being an anthropologist, I have had some experience with linguistics and I can say without a doubt that Shiroi has it correct. The way the brain processes visual information is very complex, even more so when it comes to written language. Even though it is misspelled by a simple letter swap, most of the time, a person's brain is going to read it as if it was correctly spelled. This is even more prominent when it comes to commonly used or very familiar words.

In other words, go easy on them. Things like this happen, not often, but they do and it doesn't mean that people are being sloppy or lazy.

Oh, by the way, you misspelled "Fukunaga".

Never tried glue,never will.

I know where your coming from, when your running a company, you have to make sure what you put out has to look perfect.even if you have a spelling error,it's not gonna look good from a business stand-point for Funimation.but for me,it's not a big deal.i know what the show is and what it's about.
