Serial Experiments lain Season 2

Hello Star

blushing Would anyone know why it was not picked out for Season 2 Quest

I find it hard to get info on the web about "Serial Experiments lain" Reasons regarding for not going forward with Season 2 ?

(As you can see i have put a striking title heart to the thread for any "lain" fan) lol

Ok- i am asking this question as i am a new "lain" fan and it's my No1 Anime.

wiki- licensed in North America by Geneon (formerly Pioneer Entertainment) back in 1998-2007 (i think)

So "lain" fans out there if you can please let me know anything...

Also note there is no need to start a thread for every question you have, theres a general anime questions thread in the anime section of the forums. Also a bit of research/googling can easily help you find any answer your looking for. But yeah Renzo summed it up pretty well.

Lain was an original project by Yoshitoshi ABe(character design), Yasuyuki Ueda(producer) and Chiaki Konaka(screenplay), originally developed as a multimedia project. As such, there's no more material to adapt into an anime.. Lain told a complete story, that the creators wanted to tell, and they went on to other projects. Lain is a cyberpunk classic and an anime masterwork, it doesn't need(nor will it ever get) a second season.
