well i was looking up on you tube for a show called "serial experiment lain" and found that you FUNimation owns the show is blocking the show from being uploaded to youtube. now here is my main concern about this YOU NO LONGER ADVERTISE THAT YOU EVEN OWN THE SHOW SO WHY BLOCK IT FROM YOU TUBE WHEN YOUR NO LONGER CONCERNED ABOUT MAKING MONEY OFF THIS SHOW. i looked through you're directory of shows that you guys currently own and it isn't advertised that you own it so please take the block off it. you know i would have to buy a second hand copy of this and in which i might as well "illegally" download the show straight to my computer as which the two would be exactly the same either way YOU make no money.
the same can be said for case closed you obviously no longer dub the show so why hang on to it and let one: people upload the show to places like youtube or two: let go of the IP all together and let someone else dub it. and don't say that there isn't a market for this show. there is, just not as big as other shows. I've read some forum posts and the fans of case closed are pretty hard core and they are LOYAL.
i personally like to buy my DVD's new it supports you because the store who buys it from you buys more from you. yes i watch anime "illegally" uploaded to site like youtube but most of these shows that i like to watch are no longer in production in anyway shape or form and some shows are extremely hard to find and super expensive because of its rarity like ALL THREE TENCHI RYO-OHKI OVAS you only have the last ova. its like starting an anime at the last 5 episodes. i knew someone (personally) who bought all three in a single DVD set for $300 and that was the cheapest he could find. oh and tench is another problem please please get the first 2 ovas i really want to buy this show i would give my man parts for this (no lie) though there are a lot of things i would do that for well mostly because they are hard to come by like tales of destiny 1 and 2 $100 dollars each geeze. also it would be very nice if you could obtain the american version of ranma 1/2 i miss that show and it is really hard to find i want to buy this show i don't have a lot of money to be spending on anime that came out twenty years ago. please let go of the IPs that you obviously no longer care about or in the case of lain even acknowledge you own other than haggling a fan over copy right on youtube. i understand cost restraint of keeping these IPs active and old shows are well old and hardly anyone buys them anymore but there are people who do what to buy them including me who don't have the money to be spend over $100 dollars for a movie that came out fifteen years ago.
