I have recently found out that Funimation was considering dubbing mermaid melody. They haven't said no. I also found out that Funimation was going to Court or something with ADV Films (the original dubbers of Mermaid melody, dropped). Funimation said they would not take the ADV Films, but they Might. MIGHT Re-dub it. Yes it is Semi-childish and semi-adult, but come on, have you seen the views on youtube for the show with english subs? over 100,000 views for each person who subbed each episode. People are talking all about this, STILL. Even though its a 2003 show, its not like we're the only late ones, one country (I think Siberia) got it 2 years ago. English is one of the only languages mermaid melody is not in. For god sakes, i've made my own English lyrics to each song
and for any Funimation staff, please consider. Thanks.

While only Funi knows what they plan to license in the future (and will never comment on until they officially license the anime) chances are as close to 0 as you can get in this industry. Funimation will never announce what they may or may not license, any rumors that you hear on the web are just lies that someone made up (if someone from Funimation actually did release information they would be fired and most likely sued).
Just remember that while it's nice to believe the series will be released, there are a lot of people who like to lie on the internet, just trust official sources.
