Impatient Suggestion box ?s

Yeah yeah i know im probably pushing the issue, but was wondering if any of the things on the suggestion box were going to be getting done soon. Maybe some baby steps with some simple things. It looks like no one touch the box since it was made in may. I know i would really really if anything see a master anime list of dubs and if they were released as blurays or dvds or whatever the case may be. IF ANYTHING!! Dang im pushing my luck i know it. But what can i say im enthusiastic about seeing the stuff up and working and able to help me in my search for anime that may or may not be released or in exsistance yet.

Other than bug fixes, things have been put on hold until subscription is ready, which will be very soon.

A master dub list sounds like something that everyone should work to make. Why not start a thread for this in the Anime forum? I'll sticky it, if it gets popular.

Ok sophie, i like your idea, but heres the thing i dont think it should be a forum list thing. I belive there should be a tab on the top of the main page, maybe listed under shows with a pull down arrow like the videos, community, and news tabs. In fact i think the tab should be like funimation shows, Funimation release dates, Funimation solicitations, and dubb list. I mean what good is a list, if you dont know what the show is about and dont see a picture of the cover or some type of picture to look at. Would you buy something you couldnt see? It would be like opening the encyclepedia and reading a bunch of words without knowing what they are. I am more then happy to make the dubb list, but im not going to bother to do it, if its not going to be done the right way or at least some sensible way. If theres one thing i hate its random list in forums, cause people add and add and add till theres like 40, 50 pages. My internet is fast, but still takes time to load forum pages. Anyways if i seen that list i would click it and browse and then close it and that would be it. Heck im open for ideas. Anything to make some sense of the randomness thats going around between the dubs out there. If it gets popular would you consider putting it under a tab or something? Give me some feedback Sophie....

Re: Impatient Suggestion box ?s

ALL of FUNimation's discs have dubs. The only titles that don't have dubs are simulcasts, which by their nature have to be sub-only (with a few exceptions) and will eventually get a dub if they are picked up for home video release.

If you want a master list across the whole industry then the general anime forum is the only place here for it, since FUNimation aren't going to expend time and money promoting their competitors works.

Ty shirio Hane, thats exactly what i was thinking. So theres no point on me making a master list then. Saves me from wasting time on something that would be a pointless endevour then.

Only question is that of other companies or things unlicensed. Animenewsnetwork would be a place to look for that.

The only things I have seen released by Funimation without a dub are some live action movies, or some extras with an Anime series. The longest thing extra I believe was the Vandread OVA.

I apologize for my confusion, cloudkicker. I thought you were referring to all anime and not just ours. This is why I was suggesting a master list thread be made in the forum.

Shiro is right. All of our anime have dubs other than the simulcasts.

Sophie i was referring to all dub anime, and yes including funimations. You were not wrong in what you were thinking. As for everything being dubbed on funimation except simulcast and not including movies, that i dont know about. I mean i have no idea what a simulcast is exactly means. As far as i can see funimation has 80 - 90% dubb on every anime. As far as im concerned your like gold in my book even though i complain about nothing half the time and probably come out sounding like a total jackazs.
As for that anime network thing you mentioned, that place is a freakin mess. It does have alot of information if i want to spend lifetime looking for it. I need things spelled out in big bold letters to get me where i need and want to be. YOU CLICK HERE FOR DUBS lol what can i say im in a hurry and dont have time to perform a all out search.
Are (Aria the scarlet ammo, C Control, We without wings, Blessing of the campanella, guilty crown) these animes simulcast? How do i know when something is simulcast? I dont see a label on it to tell me that.

Re: Impatient Suggestion box ?s

Anything new is going to start off sub-only, especially if it is s till airing in Japan. If it has a physical license then it will be dubbed prior to release on DVD/BD.

The titles you list are all simulcasts - Guilty Crown is airing this season. Some of them are simulcasts only (so will not get a dub until announced otherwise - e.g. Princess Jellyfish and Fractale both got 'upgraded') but the only way to tell is to check whether the press release mentions physical rights. IIRC Campanella has a full license, but I'm not sure about the others and can't check ANN right now as it is down

Ok, then I guess you guys can start and maintain a dub/sub status thread in the Anime forum.

If you need a kickstart, you can go to http://www.funimation.com/videos/episodes, and then filter by Language: English. You'll get a list of all of our videos with dubs.

Later on, we might be able to add an informational page to the site with a table of language status of all FUNimation titles.

Example:

Title Dub Sub
Fullmetal Alchemist * *
Guilty Crown *
