Ive noticed that alot of action aimes are usually dubbed *witch i have no problem in that* its just that ive havnt seen any news about a new Romance/Slice of life anime coming out.
I mean like animes such as Kanon/air/clannad/ai yori/Rumbling Hearts and so forth.
I do know We without wings is getting dubbed by FUNimation and i cant wait for that. But i do wish it could kind of be an even game with animes.
Like 50/50 it. Romance/Slice of lifes get dubbed just as much as actions. I dont know. Im more into romance cute girls and love between people.
Thats why my favorite Anime from FUNi will always be Kanon (2006)
i dont know does anyone else feel the same way or is it just me.
Ive run out of animes to watch untill new ones get dubbed.

I think this would be more suited for the anime forum...
But to answer your question it's a mix of what is selling for them (Ecchi/action has a big following and are normally safe bets) and also what is coming from Japan. About all you can do is support your favorite genre by buying the DVDs, in bulk this leads to them dubbing more of what you enjoy since it makes them money.
Also try B Gata H Kei, its a little more ecchi then Kanon but still a fun little romance anime that just came out recently.
It's difficult now, a company used to have a year to see how the shows would do in japan before having to worry about licensing them. Now they need to grab them while they are still airing in Japan so they need to go with the safe bets. Like stock said, we need to make sure to support the genre we like and also do things like subscribe to Elite and let them know the shows you enjoy. If I were them I would listen to people who were more apt to spend money. I do enjoy slice of life as well, though I am fairly content with the shows getting licensed and dubbed. If you don't mind subtitles then NIS has some great titles I think you would like. Kimi Ni Todoke, and Anohana, they are each romance type shows. I am secure enough to admit that I teared up at the end of Anohana.
