Funi should get the rights to Hunter X Hunter 2011 Dub

= crying there show is currently airing and has no dub release contract, so it will be nice if funimation gets it besides they already have yuyu hakusho and level E which was by the same author as hunter x hunter. so y not complete the package smile and if some other company gets it i doubt there dub wouldn't be as good as funimation's especially after Viz media handed the original series to a Ocean dub company and didn't dub it them selves. So Funi get Hunter X Hunter kitty its a popular shonen show

It would, but then can they really handle dubbing four long running anime at the same time (assuming they dub Toriko), continue One Piece and Fairy Tail.

A. What's wrong with Ocean?

B. A bit of a moot point. Viz does no in-house dubbing and I'm not even sure which of the companies other than Funi that do. Most of the time, they hire the LA cast of actors.

C. We'll have to see...Are we even sure the license isn't already purchased?

Re: Funi should get the rights to Hunter X Hunter 2011 Dub

Few things to note:

1. Ocean didn't dub the original HxH it was Blue Water, BIG difference tongue

2. Long running anime series like Shonen usually aren't licensed (dubbed) until there's at least 50ish episodes.
So it'll be a while until you see Toriko of the new HxH getting licensed (Beelzebub however is a different story!) smile

3. It IS possible to dub multiple long running shows at the same time.

Funimation has already been doing this last year with One Piece, Fairy Tail and Dragon Ball Z Kai.

With dubbing it's recorded with one voice actor at a time in the booth so they just have to be smart about scheduling/booking to make it efficient (for the VAs who have roles in multiple shows)

e.g. Colleen Clinkenbeard is booked for 4 hours working on DBZ Kai and then once the session is done, works on Fairy Tail. During the hours she was working on DBZ Kai, another voice actor was working on Fairy Tail.

4. Each dub is directed by a different director so Hunter x Hunter (if dubbed by Funimation) would probably be either Zach Bolton or Chris Bevins.

Mike McFarland, Tyler Walker, Chris Bevins and Zach Bolton are probably Funimation's biggest ADR directors; some others occasionally direct, but these 4 handle the majority of the dubs and the more "important" titles.

Mike McFarland is already handling One Piece and Tyler Walker is already handling Fairy Tail.

Considering the "manly action" and sausage fest that is Toriko (kind of like DBZ), there's a high possibility it'll be directed by Chris Sabat at his studio Okratron5000.

to be honest i rather have Funimation get the rights and wait for the dub even if it comes out in 5 years, they are one of those companies that make there wait worth it

well to be honest the Ocean (blue water) dub did do good in some parts but in others not so much. overall they were a fairly gud dub. but there problem is when Companies like viz etc. give the license of a series to another company then it kinda shows that they rlly didn't think much of there series hmm . if they rlly wanted to make the series very sucessful they probably would have held it until they had other shows out of there way then they could begin dubbing with there actors they hire.
and there License hasn't been purchased yet.that y i wanted funi to get it smile

Yep, and it was the worst dub i've heard from them since the Megaman Powered Up video game for PSP.

Again i like Blue Water but they REALLY dropped the ball with Hunter x Hunter 1999 plus the show itself wasn't that good either and ended in a really bad way (which had it's story arc end in the first OVA series which we all know Viz didn't bother getting). It's one of the reasons i'm not too interested in the new series.

Oh sry i was confused whether it was the water blue or ocean but since i heard it was dubbed in canada, i assumed it was ocean (cuz ocean owns the water blue studios). tongue

but i really don't mind if they take a long time to release there hxh dubs if they get it cuz funimation dubs are always worth there wait. tear

and yeh toriko is probably gonna be chris sabat's especially due to there similarity to dbz and lol yeh it does have alot of sausage feast tongue

If you didn't like there way there anime displayed the show then try there manga since it complete the arc which there anime left off at and besides the new anime is telling the story closer to the manga so try it out
