Funimation and all involved,
I saw Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos on January 20th in Omaha, and I had an absolute blast! I'm more of a casual fan of the FMA franchise, but this movie far surpassed my expectations. Great story with a lot of twists and turns that are true to the series mythology, beautiful animation, excellent pacing, memorable battles and scenarios, emotional and philosophical depth, awesome music, and a rounded cast of new and old characters. (The new characters really hold their own!) It pretty much highlights all of what is good about FMA (even if Roy could have gotten a few more meaningful seconds). This film is a real gem that is not to be missed. Totally made my month.
Omaha missed out on Evangelion and Trigun on the big screen, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH for bringing this title here, and please keep Omaha in mind in the future. Keep up the good work!
A few asides: The press release originally said that it'd be the dub version, but it was the sub version at the showing I went to. Even so, it was great to have the movie. Also, the promotional card for the movie on the way out was a very nice touch to commemorate the event.
