Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

Hi I'm new here and odds are I'm breaking some rule. If I am I apologize. I just MUST know, as a life long DBZ fan, what is Funi is doing in regards to this epic movie coming up in March? It's probably way too late to do a simucast theater release like they did for the Gantz movie. But please tell me you're at least going to dub it and release it in theaters here! There are most likely more DBZ fans in America than even Japan! Pleaaaaaase someone get back to me on this. Star

I think it is way more popular in Japan than in the USA, it is like Star Wars in Japan. Still, it was and is popular here as well, hopefully they will pick it up and dub it for a theater run here

The movie isn't even out in Japan yet, we probably won't here anything about a international release until at least a couple of months after the Japanese release. What we do know however is that 20th Century Fox is handling the international release, so best case scenario is Fox simply handling the advertisement and distribution while Funimation handles the dubbing and translation. Worst case scenario is Fox using their own celebrity voice cast to try and appeal to the main stream market while also changing the scripts etc far beyond what Funimation ever did to DBZ to try and appeal to a wider audience.

I'm hoping this movie gets dubbed. Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! didn't get dubbed and neither did Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock. Funimation should dubbed those along with Battle of Gods and put them in one blu ray set. I'd buy it.

You guys, come on... Take a easy, if FUNimation can re-dub a Anime movie or anything that they did or still doing then they can and never give up in believing that they can. Don't say things that aren't true that will be in the future or mean, I'm just saying. smile Believe to make it happen and turn that frown upside down.

Petition won't help.Cartoon Network and Toonami have nothing to do with the DBZ movie.

Sadly funimation has yet to buy the license to this movie so we will not see it soon. Now this next part is purely for funimation. I realize that it is expensive for you to do this, although the revenue that this movie would turn on dvd release alone would be a great amount of profit. not to mention if you release this in theaters. all the fans of dbz are asking of you funimation, and this is all of us, UK to USA to AUS and everywhere in between, is that you make a dub in english, german, french, and all the others. it would turn such a huge profit and it would also open up the rest of the oncoming movies to you (funimation). so just give it a chance.
