Verizon Fios Is planning to cancel Funimation

Just found out that Verizon will be cancelling Funimation in March. In my area, it is the only cable company to carry Funimation. A lot of people have written to Verizon to try to prevent this and a few petitions have been started.

We know Anime is getting big in America and this is the only station to play anime 24/7! (great job sponsoring the Otakon in Baltimore. That was too fun!) Please help keep anime in our living rooms! I hate that the only time I can enjoy anime is in July at the otakon!

Please do not cancel funimation. I watch this channel everyday. If you let go of this channel, I will have to seek this channel with another company.

Personally I never understood why Funi went with Fios in the 1st place, its overpriced and not as widely available as other forms of TV distribution, if you ask me they should drop Fios and go after more Digital Cable & Satellite providers.

I always thought things went the other way around. The service pays the provider for content and so decides who they want on their system. The content provider usually wants to be on as many platforms as possible, for the right fees of course.
