Funimation is available on other services. I wonder if it lists them on this site (going around this site, seeing Verizon banner ads is only twisting the knife in the wound!).
For now, I suppose I'll just have to buy the DVDs more often. The channel's obviously a plug for them anyway!
I suspect we will never know who is to blame here, funimation or verizon. Either way it most likely came down to money.
Blame Verizon because they have done this in the past will other channels (Tennis Channel, etc.) to get better rates from the channels.
I still have hope of a better outcome, but in the meantime...
Funimation has to get it's act together in terms of scheduling and programming.
* Give us a consistant schedule we can follow. Same program at the same time on the same day. Remember two years ago? The typical schedule had a program run several times a day, each day, so we had 5 epidodes a week, then the "weekend rewind" where all 5 were run at one shot.
* Please complete a series before starting another one and give us more than one episode a week.
* Of all the programs available under license, you could open up a better selection to met the demands of more age groups and demographics? I do not see anything I would let anyone under 13 watch. Younger viewers seem to have been left out.
* Has Air or Ah! My Goddess ever been aired? Plenty available like that.
* Please do not run the same movie 3 or 4 times a week for months. Gotta be more available.
I've posted my thoughts on this before and to tell you the truth, I think the programming has being handed over to monkeys.
Keep the faith, I think Verizon has blown this one. It is now apparent that they made the decision to drop funimation without any intent to negotiate and that they never expected the outcry that has risen over this.
im sssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed off that verizon toke funimation off im might to get optimum and not fios even though optimum doesnt have funimation
If you guys are unhappy with Verizon, tell them! Go on Facebook and like Verizon fios page. Then post up and tell them you are unhappy with what they have done and that you will not buy anything from on demand nor will you support any company that advertises on their network. Complaints fall on deaf ears but when you start to hit them where it hurts (in the wallet) people will pay attention! There's also a page called Save Funimation Channel.
At least Funimation has the option to get their content online for a monthly fee. You just need to take the HDMI output from a laptop or netbook and connect it to the TV. Plus alot of the content on Funimation has been available on Netflix streaming and Amazon streaming. And the quality is better than what FiOS offered since FiOS down converted the Funimation HD feed to SD when they broadcast it on channel 262.

AT&T U-Verse offers the FUNimation Channel on their premium HD Tier, channel 1484. It's still showing strong there.
I'm right behind you...
Any other threads on this forum that are fun? I need something to cheer me up after losing the Funimation Channel.

Unfortunately AT&T U-Verse isn't available in the State of NJ so >.>;;;
I'm still hoping that the same thing that happened to the Tennis Channel happens here and that it will be returned soon...Q_Q
We can only hope D=
