Some cable and satellite service providers don't think that there is demand for a 24/7 anime channel in the US but there are a lot of folks would like to get the FUNimation Channel and don't have it yet. Here is a thread for suggestions and what you can do to help improve your chances to get the FUNimation Channel.
The first suggestion is fill out the form on http://www.getfunimationchannel.com/ (plus you chances to win prizes).
The next suggestion comes from Lance (Your friendly neighborhood FUNimation guy) Heiskell, who has posted this all over the internet in the past:
If you want the FUNimation Channel for your home...
all you need to do is request it.
Step 1. Call your Cable/Satellite service provider
Step 2. Ask for a Customer Service Rep
Politely…please
Step 3. Explain to them that FUNimation Channel is a 24 hour anime channel
Step 4. Let them know you would keep with them or switch providers to receive the channel.
Also....
Send note in your next cable/satellite bill
Fill out customer service forms on Cable/Satellite websites
Go to Cable office and ask in person!
Better yet…bring them baked goods every week until they add the channel.
That's the best way to let the cable/satellite companies know you want the channel. They file these requests and send them to the corporate offices for review.
Here are other suggestions made from members on the old FUNimation Forums (#3 comes from UncleChewie and #1-2 & 4 comes from me):
1) Make requests to your cable/dish provider at least once a week
2) Ask your family and friends to request the channel from their television service provider on your behalf.
3) Drop to a basic tier of service or drop your service completely and when asked why, say it is because they don't carry the FUNimation Channel.
4) Call other Cable and Satellite service providers in your area and tell them if they add the FUNimation Channel to their line-up, you would switch to them to receive the channel.
5) Make requests on your (and others) television service provider's Facebook and Twitter accounts (here is an example); a list of television service provider's Facebook and Twitter accounts will be provided below.

I wish Rogers had it in Canada. I don't even know if a single Canadian channel has it.
As it turns out, it's hard to type with claws
I would love to see Funimation Channel come to Cableone.. we need more good animation networks!
LET ME PLAY FOR YOU, THE SONG OF MY PEOPLE!!!
I want to send 1,000+ requests to Time Warner Cable, but FUNimation Channel's website won't let me!
Does it cost money to add it to your package to watch the funimation channel? If so roughly how much? I have ATT and i see they offer it in my area Detroit, MI. It looks like the funimation channel plays the same 10 animes over and over and adds a new one once in a while. Are there plans to add more variety and put newer stuff that comes out on the channel first? Also before i even considered getting the channel, i would want to know if when they play a show do they play it in a sequential order or is it all random? I remember ATT offered the channel for a week for a free preview. and there was a alot of questions i have for the funimation channel. I gotta be honest i like the idea of having the channel, but i have alot of questions to ask before getting it. Are there commercials on there that tell what funimation will be putting out with more product info? How long does it take for you to get through a series say 26 episodes long? I dont want to be sitting there for a year to find out that it woulda been easier to just buy the blu ray dvd and watch it.
Ok so bottom line is lots of questions i need answered. Please give me whatever information you can so i can consider my options.

The shows air in sequential order.
Yes
It depends, if the show has already aired on the channel, it takes about 5 weeks. Shows with new episodes air the new episode once a week.
Hey thanks beck for answering my 20 questions.

I've been trying to get Brighthouse to pick it up, but they don't seem to show any interest. Even told them, once Fios was available, I'd switch because of it.
Being wrong is not a democracy!
I've tried but hey at least Comcast carries Funimation OnDemand if it wasn't for that I'd get shakes from lack of anime!
It would be nice to see FUNImation on DISH Network I heard it use to be but not anymore. I need an anime channel.
I have asked comcast constantly to get the funimation channel, Pleading with them but alas to no avail.
I was wondering if it would help to start an online petition? If so I will and if its allowed I can post the petition link here. So comcast might see the light and get the 24/7 funimation channel.
AWWW! I've never seen lelouch look so adorably moe! Or suzaku for that matter! XD
