Anime on the Roku

Is there a list of complete anime series available on the Roku anywhere? [For non-EVS subscribers, if they even exists on the Roku.]

I think there are just commercials if you aren't a subscriber, but I have always been one since I had the roku app so I am not positive. as for the list of shows it is really long if there are any shows you want to check on I would be more than happy to confirm they are there

I just got a Roku. And Funi isn't in the on-device channel store and roku.com tells me its not available in my region (Portland, OR).

Re: Anime on the Roku

The Roku Funimation Channel basically is an interface for watching what you would normally watch on the website. You also get what you pay for. If you're a non-subscriber, you get the same as the website. If you subscribe, you get the same as the website. Also the Roku channel lists all the content there is.

As for the Roku saying Funimation Channel isn't available in their area, it's possible that the Roku is a non-US Roku. Rokus for sale in Canada are locked for Canadian content, likewise UK Rokus are locked for UK content. Funimation has distribution rights in the US only AFAIK. So non-US Rokus should not list the Funimation channel at all, and even if one goes through the route of adding a channel as if it is a private channel - it won't take. It also means you cannot take your Roku outside the country and hook it up to the local internet service without having to go through some VPN service to make your Internet connection appear as if it is in the USA (or where-ever).

Now Netflix *does* have an anime offering... consisting a selection of Funimations' offerings. Consider it a "highlights" package if you like. Going to subscribe today to Funimation...- I'm getting hooked smile

Am I the only one experiencing delays on action on funimatiom roku? When browsing selections, click to view one, nothing happens, so ill browse on for another three minutes, then all of a sudden whatever I clicked on three minutes ago STARTS to happen. And when I try to start a selection to play, black screen for another 3-4 minutes. Ugh

I'm having delays with mine as well, Hooper. Started a few weeks ago. Some times it works just fine. Tonight it's being slow.

Re: Anime on the Roku

Hello everyone,

I'm also experiencing a very slow Funimation Roku app, to about the same effect as other people. I can though run other app's just fine, like Netflix or Crunchyroll, and I can run funimation and other channels on my computer fine, so it's not my roku or my net.

Might there be a reason for un-responsiveness on the Funimation app? A bug perhaps?

Last night it wouldn't work at all. Earlier today it worked fine, but now it's acting up again. Maybe it's related to bandwidth?

How many of you are actually unable to watch certain shows due to content unavailable message? All of em are dubbed version, all the subbed versions work just fine. Some of the shows include: Tatami Galaxy, minami-ke, oniai and many more. If anyone can watch those in dubs i would like to know so i can email roku support once again....
