Closed Captioning on Funi DVDs?

I was just wondering about something for the longest time.

I used to watch FMA on TV on AdultSwim. Now FMA on adultswim has closed captioning for the hearing impaired, so we are able to watch the dub of the show without any problems.

Since the captioning is already done for the entire series for TV, I wonder why it's such a big problem to encode the Funimation released DVDs with the same closed captioning?

Studio Ghibli Disney movies do this, I wonder why Funimation can't do it? It would help with the subtitle issue greatly, I think.

To be able to encode all the shows that air on Adult swim that have closed captioning with closed caption for their DVD releases?

Funi used to have dubtitles for the hearing impaired, but that was taken off. I would like very much to see their return or at least a closed captioning option on their DVD sets.

Re: Closed Captioning on Funi DVDs?

Me too! at my house its impossible to hear anything, (thanks to my lil sis), besides the fact I was raised on closed captioning/subtitles. Its hard for me to watch tv without them...

it was SO nice back when they had subtitles that matched!
