What's the difference between the 2008 release and the 2009 "remastered" re-release?

Okay, now I just want to know what's the difference between the 2008 Box set and the 2009 "Remastered" release.

Spoiler: Highlight to view
For example, I know that the 2008 Box set obviously uses the 2005-2010 logo ("Flashing Funimation") but youtube videos shows it use both the old logo and the new logo (2009-Present; the "You Should Be Watching" logo), so that makes me wonder if the 2009 "Remastered" release and the blu-ray release use the new logo.

I really have no idea. Unless there's problems that were in the other release or something that the remastered one fixed but sometimes it's just a marketing gimmick to make people buy it. Like when CPM released and re-released Record of Lodoss War. Some parts had been restored while most of it had stayed the same yet it was sold as 'Digitally remastered'. You know, that kind of thing.

But really, I'm not entirely sure what the changes are if there are any at all unless the other had timing issues or something... it's too bad Mania's site is pretty much defunct now... they had a pretty good grasp on those kinds of changes/fixes and whatever. Unless they FINALLY got a new webmaster, I think that website is pretty much dead. The only other places I think you should check would be online sites but I don't know if they'll actually compare the two sets side by side.

OOC, do you have either of the Blu Ray sets of FMP? I just got TSR for my birthday and I just bought Fumoffu and I wondered if it would be worth it to upgrade my DVD set of FMP to Blu but I don't know if it's worth it or not. Since the other two are, I'd like to try to keep the series as uniform as possible, you know? But I really don't know the answer to your question. You can try Mania.com and see if they have a Blu-Ray review for both releases but I don't know if they'll have them. They might though.

Don't bother going to Mania... they've completely destroyed everything animeondvd used to be.
