which do you prefer the furuba manga or anime?

Manga for the overall story and what not and the fact that well every time I see Akito in the anime and watch it dubbed it feels kinda weird listening to his voice and then knowing everything about the manga X)
You can't fool me boy... I'm a god damn Sage!
I think they both have their merits. I love the way the manga finally concludes, since I feel the anime quit right when things were getting good, and the anime ending was kind of out of character for a lot of people, but on the other hand, I love most of the voice cast for the anime, and if I could have a wish I'd ask for them to continue it so I could see it all in animated form. Just imagine seeing the manga ending animated...
as much as i like getting more of the story, it was too dramatic for me. So I actually prefer the anime.
I'm actually re-reading the manga, and it really just kills me. So much drama! darn you shojou manga XD Though I do enjoy a lot about it. Esp. some of the relationships, like with Kureno and Uo-chan.

Completely agree. I loved where the story went after the manga continued when the anime ended. It was great to see all the characters, see how they all intertwined and developed and how the Sohma family members
But the anime is so well done and acted, both Japanese and English. I think it ends well the way it does, but if people really love the anime they should read the manga too.

Definitely the manga for me. Now don't get me wrong, I do like the anime, but after reading the manga, it just doesn't hold up as well for me.
As said, it does have it's merits though. Most of what it covers from the manga, it covers very well. Fabulous voice cast (I haven't watched it subbed however). I just wish it hadn't ended how it did. It was all I could do to even finish it during my last re-watch.

The anime is good, but the manga kills the final three episodes of the anime. I can no longer watch those episodes.
The manga has a superior story but I don't like where the character designs went. I know it was likely because of Takaya-sensei's surgery on her drawing arm/hand but the characters begin to look to generic. The story becomes a bit angst-filled but overall, it is still good.
The Japanese voice of Akito works unlike the English dub voice.

Oddly enough, the answer is "No," but...

I really like the Manga better.
it had the whole story and the anime seems like it ended too fast.
well I know that the manga wasnt finished but it just seemed rushed.
@ ANB - Oh, so even though they had it wrong too, it still seems covered better than in the dub. I dunno when I'll actually be able to force myself to see the anime again, but maybe next time, I should give the sub a watch for the heck of it. I could watch it for Yui Horie alone.
