Re: Freezing Season 2?

If they follow the manga for the next arc, it will need to be either:

1. Longer because (Manga Spoilers):

Spoiler: Highlight to view
The next arc is going to be slower in the action department and the anime dev's might go a little overboard on the fanservice to make up for the lack of action. Since Freezing has a great and interesting story, this may turn off the Freezing fanbase who follow the manga and really enjoy the backstory/flashbacks. Also since the Sibling Arc is all about Satela's past there will be a ton of flashbacks (i love this arc as it really explains to us why Satellizer is the way she is) which may turn off anime only viewers who are wanting more action. So we would maybe need a action filled mini-filler arc to make up for the lack of action to appeal to the action fans to help keep the series going forward to produce more seasons.

or

2. Need to shorten the next arc and quickly progress to the arc that follows that arc. My reasoning (Manga Spoilers):

Spoiler: Highlight to view
They need to give us everything we need to understand Satelllizers past, including the trip to Bali but in a very condensed version (which i really don't want them to do since i enjoy learning about character's past, but it may be better for the anime as a whole in order to get back to the action for the anime only viewers) so the anime can quickly jump into the E-Pandora arc to really get the action moving to please the more action oriented crowd

I would much rather prefer option 1, as i really like every single arc in the manga and thoroughly enjoyed the anime. But i know that many anime viewers are looking for that action, and while i am one of those guys who is an action fanatic, i really want them to explore every arc the manga has to offer thoroughly regardless of the content. Option 2 may be the better option as a whole since it would probably appeal to a greater fanbase (something i really don't want to admit to) since it would give us the necessary information and quickly transition into a more appealing arc for the anime only viewers.

Of course, i am generalizing here, and also being extremely selfish when i say i want them to fully explore the backstories. I just tend to get into a ton of conversations with people who are anime-only viewers who watch anime because of the animated action so i generalize a bit here, but i know that many anime-only viewers watch the anime for the complete story of whatever genre that catches their fancy. So i do apologize for generalizing, but im just looking for the best strategy to appeal to the fanbase as a whole, manga readers who want the anime to follow the story to a T and anime viewers who want the complete package as well as the awesome action packed scenes that keep them entertained.

When or if they make another season i really hope they cut back on the fan service. Nothing wrong with a little here in there but this show just had to much.

This unfortunately is the business model Funimation seems to be going to. Fan service sells.

I don't know the age target they are shooting for, but it must be teen.

Re: Freezing Season 2?

i was wondering if my membership went towards determining the popularity of this show, i love spreading the wondersous love of anime, and like to help get the good and unknown ones over seas, but ive never been quite good at maintaining dvds, so i don't buy them as often as others. it be great to know that my subscription helps support the animes i watch. i think streaming media is a great way, and big jump towards easier entertainment, and could slow down piracy actually 75% of the people that own a netflix sub just watch sub/dubed anime im just wondering when well toss the whole blue ray and dvd jig and use a more practical method like solid stat (sdd) it may be a bit more expensive to produce but it lasts for ever optical isn't cutting it any more ive had floppy's that lasted longer than my dvds ninja heart

Re: Freezing Season 2?

ive only recently started watching anime basically everyday, if its on netflix or any other way. but ive watched the freezing series and a ton more of animes in a short amount of time and can't get enough of them. i agree with most people though who say they make a ton of great anime but they end without getting another season which is sad sad i hope freezing gets another season along with some other of my favorites.

I really hope freezing has another season. Fan service is fine and if u are complaining you obviously havent watched many recent anime kitty it can be quite funny at times and does draw some people in, however the story and action are great so its easy with most shows to look past it if you dont like it. Anyway Freezing is great and im really wishing for season two extra fan service or not.

I also hope thar Freezing gets another season (or 3). this may have topped Sekerei as my favorite series.

The fan service didin't bother me (my wife and I are in our 50's). We both think it adds to the humor in some shows and the fun factor in others. If it was gone i would still buy the series though.

Besides, everyone likes boobies!
