Like everyone, I liked the first couple episodes a whole lot better than the ending. It was confusing as hell, and I still don't know what Fractale specificly is. I didn't like Nessa, and I think that Phryne and Nessa shouldn't have come together. Cuz Clain liked them for who they were, and at the end, Phryne wasn't Phryne and Nessa wasn't Nessa. Also, they left out what happened to Sunda. (Enri's bro, right?) What happened to the archpriestess? Did she die? Overall, it was pretty decent, but not in my top ten favorite anime. Oh, and I know this doesn't have to do with the plot, but the opening is really lame too. I mean, the song's cool but it doesn't feature any of the characters in it and made me feel dizzy.

The opening was an actual 'fractale', which is why they did it. But I agree, in the end it was just weird and uninspired, much like the actual anime

The series had a Last Exile Meets Laputa (Disney's title: Castle in the Sky) feel to it.
I think the art of this series was very well done.
The opening Title theme I have listened to many times already. (Compelled me to get the OST.)
Series was considerably rushed. As I understand they trashed the ending once they found their ratings were under satisfactory.
I only hope that in the English Release that FUNimation is allowed to release Episode 11 as it's original "Episode 11" and "Episode 12".
I think their decision to "Hurry Up and Finish it already" method really hurt the series.
Then again... I think my biggest objection was simply the fact that Phrine and Nessa DNA-Digivolved (A word I use quite often to mean Spontaneously merged together as Digivolve is another way to say "Spontaneously transformed for no adequately explored reason".)
The Multiple Personality Syndrome was definitely a defeat to me. Perhaps they'll provide an Alternate Ending like they did in Rozen Maiden Overture.
(But hopefully nothing nearly as elaborate as Kimi ga Nozomu Eien ~ Next Season 2007)

I just finished the series myself and I really liked it actually. I loved the art style, the storyline, and the characters! But most of all I think the music was really nice I'm glad I watched it, I didn't really realize there was so many people who disliked it until this post. I honestly didn't see anything to make me dislike it. Overall it was a pretty nice show, i thought.

I will agree when compared to earlier Noitamina series, Fractle isn't quite as good, but I for one still found it to be a genuinly enjoyable series and look foward to buying it, and the rest of the Noitamina anime on Blu-ray from Funimation next year.
But yeah, its a solid series, not the best from the block, or the best of its genre, but deffinantly worth watching, and an overall enjoyable show.
