If you like magic and flying cats, then this anime is for you! You follow the characters of Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Grey, and Erza as they go on quests and fight dark guilds. Natsu Dragneel has the power of Fire Dragon Slayer Magic which allows him to use and eat fire. He was taught Dragon Slayer Magic by non other than an actual Dragon named Igneel, which suddenly disappeared 6 years ago on the year x777. Everyone in Fairy Tail has their own life problems that unfold eventually, even if it does take a while for each character to finally get background.
The animation for Fairy Tail wasn't too great to begin with but it got better after some time. The background music is top notch, and there is always the intense fight scenes, even if they are censored from the manga. Overall, if you like Shonen anime, but are not a One Piece-tard, this is an anime for you.

Well, Fairy Tail does have some similarities to One Piece, but I've noticed that it had commonalities with Slayers as well.
well my main point is that one piece fans can like this show too...or GIVE IT A FREAKIN HUG AND LOVE IT!!!! in my opinion I think the shows are similar and both awsome
the dragons disappeared 7 years ago not 6. and as for all the one piece comments below fairy tail is nothing like that pirate show.
Yeah this show is awesome just like One Piece. their both simialr shows. I recommend them both to anime fans and non anime fans. I give both shows a 10/10
okay your review is right in every way except for the one piece part i love one piece and this anime they both feel the exact same so in other words one piece-tards can like this show too
