Re: Will funimation dub the second season of fairy tail
I'm just happy there dubbing the rest of FT even if it is only 24 episodes. Cant wait but its going to take awhile because the VA are dubbing other anime as for as One Piece so I guess we have to wait a little longer but hopefully it comes out soon and the license don't expire I don't know how the whole license thing work but. I cant wait for more FT in the mean time I guess ill just enjoy my new dub One Piece!
Re: Will funimation dub the second season of fairy tail
*sigh* It's so hard waiting for anime to be dubbed, especially when it's your favorite. I suppose there's always other stuff to watch, at least. But, seeing as Fairy tail is now being dubbed, that means they've finished writing, and must be rather close to finishing, right? (I don't know ANYTHING about the dubbing process, btw)

We don't know anything about what point they're at. Just because they have the license doesn't mean they're recording yet. Keep in mind we still don't have any information about a release.

I thought I heard somewhere that they were recording, but the internet is full of lies, and it wouldn't surprise me if I was wrong anyway.

Actually, scratch that, I recently took a look at a little video interview Tyler Walker (ADR DIrector of FT) did with some guys here and he claimed that recording for Season 2 starts up "in a few weeks", and this video is from August 8, so recording has definitely started by now.
Though whether or not it has been completed remains to be seen, especially with Tyler also being chosen as the ADR Director of Toriko, which is another longrunning series getting 1-month releases.

Do you have any idea if it will be the same actors as in the first season? Like, will Natsu be voiced by Todd Haberkorn, and the others?
Re: Will funimation dub the second season of fairy tail
Why wouldn't Todd be returning? He voices the main character. I mean if you're worried about him being an LA actor that doesn't really factor into anything fro his role in Fairy Tail since he was living there during the recording for Season 1...Tyler wouldn't have casted him in the role if he wasn't sure he would fly out to record.
And it's not like the other actors aren't still around in FUNimation. Besides Season 2 mostly focuses on new characters anyway so that's a bit of a silly thing to worry about. Recasting is inevitable with such a large cast (Romeo's had a recast in the dub due to his actress moving) but I doubt the big roles will be going anywhere.

So are they actually dubbing more episodes? If so then that's good to hear.
