Least favorite character has to be WENDY. I dont knwo why they brought her in, she's dumb and annoying. All fairy tail characters are awesome in their own way she seems like, there was no need for her...I would be happy with Natsu, Lucy, Erza, grey...even Juvia has a personality. Favorites are too many, Natsu,Gray and Gerard !!(He is so so cute!) and ofcourse Erza is awesomeness herself, and Lucy is funny too!

Sure in the first arc he appeared in she was annoyingly cute with the falling and apologizing all of the time but she became an important team member.
Well, I'm now confident enough to say that Raven Tail is, without a doubt, worthy of my hate. I don't even know half the members we've seen, and I'm sure that maybe at least one of them will end up being made sympathetic enough for us to not mind if they turn good (it's happened at least once every other arc). Things may change when we find out exactly why Ivan hates his dad so much, considering that just being kicked out of the guild doesn't seem to be enough to go to such extreme measures (hell, we don't know exactly what was so bad that he got kicked out in the first place), but for now, I hate their guts more than any other character I've seen in this series.
The audience of the Grand Magic Games that aren't friends of Fairy Tail come a very close second. They're more misguided into thinking of Fairy Tail's weakness rather than outright malicious. But Fairy Tail doesn't deserve the slightest bit of crap the audience gives them. It's all Raven Tail's fault that Fairy Tail is underperforming in at least the tournament. They really need a lesson that the number one guild in Fiore should be determined by character rather than strength.

I have had just as much contempt towards the crowd in the Dark Tournament Arc in Yu Yu Hakusho.
My least favorite character is Minerva. All I need to say about her is, well, she's Fairy Tail's version of Zorin Blitz. And Zorin's my least favorite Hellsing character. I'm still waiting for Erza to send her crashing down into the deepest pits of hell. Like Seras did with Zorin Blitz.
On that note, I will say that I'm glad that my least favorite character in this show is one of the villians. More often than not, that's intentional.
People always say "I don't like this villain because they did something mean" - well herp derp they're villains, that's their thing.
Like I said. Intentional. If you hate a villain for his or her cruelty, that does not even come close to being a sign of bad writing. On the contrary. It means that they were well constructed and that they served their purpose well. In Gametrailers.com's review of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the reviewer actually praised it for how loathsome Khaled Al-Asad and Imran Zakhaev were. So, yes. I hate Minerva. But I hate her for the right reasons. And I hate Zorin Blitz for the right reasons. And I hate Zorin Lazarivich from Uncharted 2 for the right reasons. Hmm... looks like I've got two Zorins on my "hate' list. So it's obvious that the writers want us to hope that Zorinerva (my new nickname for Minerva) would get grinded down to mulch one of these days. From where I stand, all I can say is, "Mission Accomplished."
But I think I'll go back and watch the series from start. If I find a character I end up hating for the wrong reasons (Like Bella from Twilight), I'll post it here.

And I dont really like Zeref either. Im the kind of guy who love bad guys. The badder and more insane the better. ( Im looking at you Major! ) But he turned out kind of anti climactic for me. I was hope for this ultimate, pure evil wizard raining death while laughing insanely kind a guy. Not some mopy remorseful emo pansy. Yeah a major let down for me.
