Great way to end the chapter this past week with a confrontation between Ultear and Gray, I can't wait to see what happens next week in their knockdown/dragout brawl! I'm telling ya', Fairy Tail has been one of my favorite manga's as of late and is even giving my beloved Naruto a run for it's money, I'm definately not going anywhere and will stick to this manga throughout it's run and I'll even be grabbing the dubbed releases on DVD when they see the light of day. I'm so excited for that!

Some good fighting between Gray and Ultear.
Ultear reveals to Gray what we've known since her conversation with Jellal following Galuna. She hated her mother with a passion.
What we didn't know is that she learned the Arc of Time in order to kill molding magic users, including Ur herself.
That really got Gray mad. I have to admit, though, that was an awesome move to freeze his own blood with the knowledge that living matter cannot be affected by time magic.
Though it seems as good a blow it was, it wasn't enough. And it seems we get a quick flash to a young Ultear.
Following which we're hit with another revelation. Ultear herself is an ice molder.
That last move looked nasty. A big ice rose with thorns.
Looking forward to next week. Especially with 23 pages and anime news. :D

Wow, the first fight in this entire Arc that didn't involve any nakama power up........at least not yet.
This current fight is okay so far!
I understand the weakness of "Arc of Time," but for Gray to counter it so easily was just kinda disappointing. That title of being the strongest Kin member is meaningless, a moot point.
And now Ultear's gonna resort to using Ice magic?! "Arc of Time" is half of what made Ultear bad-a$$ to begin with. Her "Arc of Time" was so useless and not even as formidable as it was made it out to be. "Lost Magic" is a complete disappointment.
I don't understand how Ultear survived Gray's Seven Slices, unless he didn't really give her Seven Slices.
I'm glad she's not defeated yet, but I know she will get defeated next week most likely.
Juvia will most likely stop Meredy through some form of "Love" again! *Rolls Eyes*

I think this chapter was one of the better ones, plus it didn't involve Nakama power-ups.

---I wonder how they will go along with animating the blood ice scene in the anime ._.
And, did anyone read that next week there is going to be ANIME NEWS for Fairy Tail x-x!! - can't wait to find out what it is. I hope it's a third season ! and/ or a MOVIE omg a movie would be the life.

Man, Ultear v Gray was quite epic and featured a lot of cool moves which made for a really fun fight! I would hate to see one of these two die though, Ultear is beautiful and fun and Gray is a cool dude with some intensity to him, the series benefits from both of these amazing characters and to see one go would sadden me greatly. Still, I can't wait for chapter 241 to see the outcome of this confrontation, especially to see if anyone else gets involved and to see some more epicness come out of this throwdown. Awesome chapter this week!

This latest chapter disappointed me alot, especially because it was Ultear.
It was utterly ridiculous how Ultear falls into the ocean and all of a sudden, gets these memories of Ur, and then she just takes a 180 turn, lets herself get defeated by Gray, and basically becomes a protagonist.
Didn't Ur become the Iced Shell that she used to seal Deliora? And because the Iced Shell melted and evaporated into the ocean, Ur is now part of the ocean? That is just so dumb!
This is the woman who infiltrated the Magic Council and manipulated Jellal into creating the Tower of Heaven, thus making the Council use Etherion and then almost decimating the Magic Council for good. She was the most vile evil manipulative bitch in this series and now she basically becomes a protagonist in half a chapter?! One of the biggest FAILS of this series.
Her fight with Gray was just complete crap. I expected an Ice Make showdown since her Arc of Time became so utterly useless, but we got nothing.
I don't even know if I should be looking forward to seeing Hades's fight coming up next week.
About the only thing I'm looking forward to now is Zeref awakening. This better freakin happen in this Arc!

I'm quite disappointed with the sudden turning, but seeing as we did gain a nod that Ultear had a reason for which she hated her mother, I should probably give Mashima some credit.
Referring to her line from the Galuna Island aftermath where she commented being a very small insignificance in her mother's life. [which we knew couldn't have been the case just from what she mentioned to Gray.]
I gotta admit, the flashback events were rather tragic. [Though I did like how Ur described her daughter to Gray. ^___^]
Now, I don't know how Ur was able to give Ultear her memories even if she is part of the ocean where they fell into in the chapter. But given that this is a world of magic, I guess it can just be said that she did it as a wizard.
So we did find out precisely why Ultear hated her mother and it was very unfounded hatred at that.
Just seemed sudden for the woman who manipulated Jellal into building the Tower of Heaven and manipulating the council into launching Etherion. At this point, I'm used to even the most ax-crazy and monstrous individuals turning in various anime/manga series [also the Index anime/light novel series], so it's more of how sudden it was than her turning at all.
Judging how exhausted Gray and Erza appear to be, I'm not sure them and Natsu alone will be enough...So I'm either seeing more reinforcements or a great big surprise.

overall good chapter but I'm still wondering something. A few arcs back (sorry forget which one) there was a scene with Igneel and a woman who a remember looking like Ultear looking over a chasm that had a monster in it with her saying Zeref was just asleep. Connection?
Hm, Ultear didnt look so hot anymore. It was pretty fun though. Gray sama rocks and he actually saw through her words.
