Interesting chapter that had good and bad parts!
I never expected that it was Gildartz who was Cana's father. I wonder if Gildartz secretly knows Cana is his daughter and he just ignores her that way to push her to becoming stronger like him. Or he just doesn't know he has a daughter, which I find highly unlikely. I'm looking forward to seeing development on this.
I find it a bit lame and "WTF" how Cana was able to obtain one of the 3 Great Fairy Magics. I mean, come on, that kind of magic is something only powerful mages like Makarov and Luxus can wield. Cana obtaining it is just illogical.
I'm wondering why Mashima doesn't develop Cana's Card Magic. That has so much potential to be awesome, yet he does nothing with it.
While it's kinda cool that we'll get to see another Great Fairy Magic besides Fairy Law, I hope she doesn't end up pawning Bluenote in next week's chapter, considering the next chapter is called "Fairy Glitter!"

I have a feeling that Cana will come in to save the day, but she will be too late to save Makarov. We haven't seen Laxus ever since he was almost killed by Hades, and Laxus will sure have a big part, which I think might be coming back to the guild and becoming a master like Makarov.

Well Laxus tried to become the master when he pulled the fighting festival, then he was banished from Fairy Tail. But now I think he has learned the errors of his ways and he will come back as a kind and strong leader. We don't even know if Laxus is on his way, but it would be strange if he wasn't because he was just randomly shown at the end of one of the chapters.

I just read the latest chapter of Fairy Tail (my first foray into the series) and I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it, I had ignored it for the longest time because I didn't think it would appeal to my tastes but in the end it did and now I'll be following it each week it comes out. I like the idea of guilds and magic and that whole kind of thing (I play WoW) and with the kind of story this series is telling coupled with the nice art I can see myself sticking around for quite a while, now that FUNi has licensed the anime I'll get to watch that once it starts coming out on DVD so that gives me something more to look forward to with Fairy Tail. I'm so glad I decided to give this manga a chance and all but I'm really surprised that more people aren't talking about it around here, it seems like something that would grab quite a few of you and make a steady fanbase for itself.

if cana does in fact fight bulenote next week i don't see myself liking it very much. on one hand cana shows up uses fairy glitter and owns bluenote which would suck if he got taken out so fast after all the hype he got but then if the spell sucks thats lame to because its one of the three great fairy magics and i just think they should all be top notch spells. i just hope however it goes in the end we get to see a fight between bulenotes and gildarts

new chapter isnt out in english yet but i saw the raw and here is what it is. cana shows up and looks like blue note one shot her and then BAM gildarts appeared and what a epic appearence it was.
I think the power has some side effect, unless gildarts will save her and die.
