I am unbelievably excited about this. Ever since I watched 2.22, I have been scouring the interwebs for any little bit of info I could get about 3.0. And then they drop this beautiful little nugget into our laps. I can see that the CGI may not be completely refined as of yet, but I don't care. Asuka is piloting again and the translation of what Misato was saying sends tingles down my spine. I can't wait to see Shinji beat some Angel ass. I realize that we (Read: Americans) won' get an English release until sometime in 2013, and it is going to take everything inside of me to not read the spoilers that will inevitably be published, because I want to know what happens so bad.... Oh well... 2013, I shall wait for you with bated breath.
Just found my new avatar. Thank you ANN. I am also hella stoked for this movie. The only downside is we probably won't see it in the states until, I would guess at least winter 2013. 4-6 months after this Japan will get the BD and another 6 months later Funimation will likely release it. Assuming they are more on top of the licensing process than they were with 2.22.
Well I am interested to see how Mari's role will be this time. To be honest she seemed shoehorned into 2.22, maybe it was because I still remember the original series.
Can't wait for this, since the end of 2.22 was 'WHAAAAA' worthy, at least for me.
However, question - is this the last film in the new remake series, or will there be a fourth? I could have sworn I originally saw that it was a four-film plan, but the booklet in 2.22 made it sound more like a three-film deal.

I have no doubt FUNi will get this, Eva has been selling great for FUNimation, So great is seems to be on the line of DBZ Orange Brick set's. I am sure FUNi will try to pick this up ASAP. Which reminds me I need to pick up Eva 2.22. ..
Can't wait. Ever since that last scene at the end of 2.22's credits, I've been NEEDING to see this one. Ah but now the spolier resistant AT-field has to be put up again as I await the Funimation release.

Just recently bought NGE plat collection watched the whole 26 episodes, then I watched Eva 1.11, an just finished eva 2.22, I must say they DID A GREAT NO AWESOME NO PHENOMENAL JOB ON THIS MOVIE SERIES I THINK I LIKED IT MORE THEN THE EPISODES!@!!!@!@!@!@! I CANT WAIT FOR 3.33 OMG I JUST CANT WAIT!!!! I LOVE THIS ANIME SERIES AN IM GLAD THEY HAVE BREATHED NEW LIFE INTO SUCH A GREAT STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing as it is not in theaters in Japan till fall 2012, I'd say we won't get news from FUNi on this till at least summer/fall 2013.
Probably in the ballpark of mid 2013. It doesn't release in Japan until late 2012.
