Possible English dub of Eureka 7: AO

Now, I don't know what kind of cast is going to be used in the future English dub of this series but it's best if Funimation dubs this series via. Bang Zoom! Entertainment just like with the first series & its movie.

I don't think that's necessary. Just getting the returning characters voices should be enough, since there's only been one so far.

Of course there should be and most likely going to be a dub. Have you ever known FUNimation to release a show AND a movie of a series in English, then for the other series with it, to not be in English as well? I say 100% chance on yes, it will get a dub.

Did anyone else think yet.. Eureka and Renton must have "Done it" to have Ao!? O///O (Eureka Seven + E7: Ao)

Funi didn't release the first series or the movie, though. Bandai Entertainment did.

But yeah, Funi dubs all their stuff.

While it'd be nice to get Bang Zoom! more work, especially on a franchise they've worked on before, there really does seem to be little connection between the first series and Astral Ocean. In this case, I don't think I would mind a FUNi dub, unless something drastically changes.

I wasn't even sure if FUNimation had confirmed anything more than simulcast rights, but it seems they do have home video, too.

Re: Possible English dub of Eureka 7: AO

This show is definitely connected to the first show. That was the same Eureka from the first show that was in AO. You can tell from the flower hair pin Renton gave her in the last episode. My suspicion is that this is all set in the past, that this is the Scub's initial arrival on Earth and that these are the events that cause humanity to leave Earth prior to the the first show.

But yeah, since Eureka's been the only returning character so far and she only had a few lines, getting Stephanie Sheh shouldn't be hard. Other than that, let Funi take a crack at it themselves.

This is a sequel because the main character is the son of Eureka and Renton.

Yes, that is true. Ao is Eureka and Renton's son. But, where is Renton? I think Eureka was somehow transported back in time while pregnant with Ao. Ao was born in the past and Eureka left him there for some reason. That's why she was saying she was sorry in that flashback. She went back to the future (or tried to?) without him.

Actually, forget most of that. Ao is definitely the son of the Eureka from the first show, but this has to be that alternate universe that Nirvash took some of the scub to at the end of E7. As of the latest episode, the time travel thing no longer makes any sense.
