Regarding Dragon Ball Z: Dragon Box 1 & 2

As a long time DBZ fan, I would very much like to own the original quality episodes from the Dragon Box collection. However, Rightstuf no longer sells Volumes 1 and 2. My local stores do not sell them either, and on top of that, online prices aren't very reasonable at the moment:

http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Box-One/dp/B002KPINF2/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1354696653&sr=1-1&keywords=dragon+box+1
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Box-Two/dp/B002Y0KR7A/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1354697106&sr=1-1&keywords=dragon+box+2 - I've seen new copies of Volume 2 go over $1000 in the past.

Will there be any chance of a reprint for at least Volumes 1 and 2 in the near future? Please consider doing so Funimation, I'm sure many of us die-hard fans would appreciate this.

I'm sure many of us die-hard fans knew that the Dragon Boxes knew they were limited edition and bought them when they were available..

Ok. My request for Funimation to consider reprinting still stands.

"Many" fans doesn't mean every fan was aware of the release. And also, perhaps they couldn't afford the collection when they were released (which would've been the case for me even had I known about it). I'm only asking Funimation to consider reprinting them because of the current ridiculous Volume 1 & 2 prices. If you're not interested in buying them or already have them, then this doesn't really concern you.

Well, FUNi is not going to reprint them because the Dragon Boxes are limited-editions.

I guess that I am more hardcore then you since I bought them all at release.

I'd consider myself a hardcore fan but I have to import them and that costs an arm and a leg. It's down to pure chance that I own all 7 as after the first 3 I had to wait a while to get the rest as I didn't have enough money. I was lucky it wasn't the second box or I would never have completed my collection.

Sorry for bumping but I have a few things to say regarding that, while it's true that FUNimation did say that when they acquired the DBOX's that they were going to be a limited print item, the problem is after their initial announcement they never mentioned them being limited print again until AFTER the fact, none of their DBOX trialers ever mention this so because of FUNi's failure to properly make it clear that the DBOX's were limited print, it's not really fair to say that most people knew that the DBOX's were going to be limited print, thus causing confusion among fans and scalpers to raise the price of the earlier sets to ridiculous prices in order to profit off of other peoples desire to complete their collection.

Wow if that isn't the most elitist thing I've ever heard someone say then I don't know what is, elitist jerks like you are sometimes the very reason I hate being part of a certain fanbase, you bought all of the DBOX's on release? Good for you enjoy your them but don't go around thinking you have superiority over people that don't have the DBOX's just because you do, there are circumstances that can hinder a person's ability to get the DBOX's when they were first released, for example the person could be living in the UK and doesn't want to go through the hassle of importing them, or some people might have been in a financial bind to where they can't afford them at the time, people like you make the rest of us in our respective fanbase's look bad and people like me don't appreciate it.

Now that my little rambling is over I was wondering if FUNimation would consider releasing the DBOX footage as singles in a similar fashion to what Toei did in Japan, or release a few disc's in part sets so fans who missed out on the DBOX's the first time, can have a fair chance to get the series in this quality.

Not to mention all the people who didn't even know they existed.

I'm so glad I bought them when they were released.
