Shouldn't be offended so easily. Sometimes they feel the need to censor or edits things that wasn't needed to be done. The attempt to make things more kiddy for a younger audience. If you bought the DVDs, there wouldn't be a reason to complain.
Please explain to me why they would change the color of a character for ANY reason? If you are not a person of color, don't tell me what I shouldn't be offended by.
Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I had to log in just to put your stupidity in check. I'm a person of color (black) so i CAN criticize you. First things first, i never, Ever, EVER, though of Mr Popo as being black. I've been watching DBZ since i was a kid and the "Oh snap, why is he so black?" though never even DREAMED of crossing my mind. He was a character in a anime, that's all i needed to know and that's all i thought. In fact, i never payed his color attention untill they burned him blue.
Now, with that aside, let me say that WHO CARES THAT HE'S BLUE. You're making a big deal out of nothing, if you knew he wasn't supposed to be blue that implies that you have seen the original DBZ before and know his true color, if that's why are you offended? Don't blame the company, blame America, there to scared that someone who gets as easily offended as you will attack them with lawsuits because of Mr Popos color. If you don't like the edits, DON'T WATCH IT. Simple as that, instead of complaining like a low self esteem idiot how bought you buy the DVDs. That way, not only don't you have anything to complain about but you are SUPPORTING THE SERIES and industry like you should. About the whole "i care what the masses see" if a person doesn't know Popos true color how can it bother them and how can they think its racist? and if they do know his true color then blame ignorant arrogant people for suing shows like this just because of the color of someones skin.

^ Mostly said what I was thinking. They did a change similar with Pokemon for Jynx as it resembled something from Africa... I don't understand the change, but don't really think it matters as it doesn't affect anything really. I just figured he was some alien dude the whole time.

You think it's racist that they changed a "black person" to blue, well other people think it's racist that the quote un quote "black guy" is to black. As in super dark skin and semi big lips, which is seen as a racial stereotype. Now, i could understand if they made a outright attack to his color or lips like "Why are your lips so big?" Answer: "Oh, it must be because he's black" but that wasn't a case here. We all know that the edit was stupid but regardless, it happened. Now, in DBZ Kais cast you can watch it on TV on NickToons and he's "black" and you can watch it on DVD and he's "black". If it was like the Jinx incident where all the pokemons pictures were changed from black to purple, all the games they were in where changed to purple, basically all media Jinx was in in North America she was changed from Black to Purple. If that was the case here i could see where your judgement was coming from, but that's NOT the case. Out of all the different ways to view Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and even Dragonball Z Kai, there's only one place where you can see him Blue and thats on Toonzai. Once DBZ Kai's broadcasting ends on Toonzai that memory of him being blue will probably fall out of existence, as least in the thoughts of people since Dragonball is so big in the worldwide and there was only one instance where that happened.
Do i ever see in programs that i would like to see differently? Well, for something as small and stupid as this heck no. I mean honestly, how much screen time does Mr. Popo get overall? Not much huh, so WHY DOES IT MATTER.
