Glad to see that you're enjoying Dragon Ball! The original DB is my favorite entry, with Z a close second (I can't stand Kai), and GT is a good conclusion. Since Kai does not cover the last story arc at all, I recommend at least watching that part of DBZ. I say at least give GT a try first before you decide if you like it or not.
I'll see where Kai leaves off and maybe pick it up from there. I've heard some not-so-good things about GT though, and the premise doesn't seem particularly engaging to me, but let's see. As it is I've got a long way to go before I even finish Dragon Ball and Kai.

GT's one of those shows that you really have to have an open mind about. I heard some really bad things about it. I watched it, and loved it, and I'm not the only one (Funi once said that GT's sales have rivaled DBZ's). It really does depend on the person.
I'm watching Kai as well, as it comes out. I saw a bit of the original Z when I was younger, but I found it tedious to wade through the filler. I realize and wish more than ever that I'd come across this series as a kid, because even though I enjoy it so much now, I realize that even things like the filler I would have enjoyed then. Right around ten, maybe, when I was still in my Power Rangers phase...would have fit in nicely with that. Oh well, better late than never, I suppose. Anyway, thus far Kai is my favorite.

I'm enjoying the dub, thanks. I like Chris Sabat.

Well, let's see how I feel by the end of DBZ. I may be burned out on Dragon Ball by then, who knows. But I won't completely discount it now.
The dub of Kai or Z?

They're watching the original DB right now.

Dragonball and dragonball Z are VERY different. Dragonball Z is an explosive action anime, and dragonball is more of a adventorous funny anime..
