I dont know how Kai's reception is going, but I know the people I talk to all mention the music, and just in general not liking it as much as the original. The music he made was something awesome to behold, something special, you can tell feeling and passion is behind it. The monotone "music" of the original is just awful compared to it. Just because it was the first does not mean its superior.

Are you referring to Kikuchi's score when you talk about it as monotone "music"? If so, I consider Faulconer's music to be monotonous. It's interesting how different people's perception of the same sounds are.

Easily the worst. It's so annoying and it doesn't even convey her character properly. Granted it fits FUNi's early characterization, but that's not who Bulma is. She's not a vapid valley girl. She may be vain, but she's likely the most intelligent character in the entire show.
