I'm not sure if this is even the thread this should go in, but it's the closest I could find.
Does anyone know how Wellgo USA even got the rights to Savers/Season 5/Data Squad? I'd never heard of them before, and they're mostly a niche company.
Though I did notice something odd, Wellgo USA (the rights holders to Season 5 of Digimon) release IP Man and IP Man 2, and Diary of Anne Frank as well as other niche titles. They give those rapt attention, yet their family releases get very poor treatment.
With Sabin making a name for themselves again by re-aquiring the rights to the Power Rangers franchise, it would be nice if they could re-aquire Digimon. However, Sabin promised Rangers fans DVD sets of the Power Rangers series and have yet to deliver, but maybe they're just taking their time?

I don't think anyone knows quite what's going on with the Well Go USA thing. They put out the first 26 episodes of Data Squad/Savers on DVD in those two boxsets, but then they re-released the latter 13 episodes over 3 singles...and I'm not even sure the 3rd single came out.
We've heard nothing since then. I'm assuming low sales hurt it or something.
