All the rest I can agree to disagree with, but this I cannot. There are some good pieces in the dub score, but there's no sense of arrangement. Big sweeping dramatic pieces play during peaceful scenes, and the battle song is...a campfire chorus. Taking arrangement alone into account, the original score is superior (and I feel it does better display that sense of wonder you were talking about).

Seriously, even with a schizophrenic script, Digimon's dubs would have been THAT much better if they'd just kept the original scores.

Well, I think it does. And that's all I'll say on this subject, since this is just coming down to preferences, and we can't argue about those.

I've completely forgotten and the forum is playing the 'don't let me see earlier pages' game again, so was this release supposed to be 4 parts for Season 1 or just 2? Either way, I'm really hoping a US release is in the works as well.

For those who don't know, Digimon Seasons 1 thru 4 have all been released in Box-Set from on DVD. I am one of the few owners of these Limited Release Box Sets containing all 50+ Episodes.

However, I think most of you will shriek when you see the current pricing. Then again it DID start out as 79.99 and were very nice collectable boxes. Very well edited and restored I might say as well.

However, there were so few sold that the company Alliance Entertainment decided that it wasn't even worth trying to make a second run on any of these sets. So, a DVD release in North America would be a waste of FUNimation's time and effort.

For the record, what's done is done. Then again, I am quite fortunate to own all 4 of the best seasons. (Didn't care for Season 5)

If anything FUNimation might be even wiser to take on seasons or series that Haven't been done before.
