I received the DVD for Christmas. The sticker on the front says 'warning, uncut, uncensored'. I haven't opened it yet, but it better be true to what the sticker says. If it's not, I won't be able to return it, and I'll be pissed.

Someone already said that the ONLY things edited are severed limbs and the eye. Whether or not they're edited, I think there's enough gore left in the rest of the series to keep you entertained.

It might sound extreme, but I just hate censorship so much. It's not that I'm starving to see violence, I just hate censorship, especially if the DVD says it's uncut when it isn't. I'll post again when I know if the DVD is censored or not, just in case anyone else cares.
I can confirm the the DVD IS censored. It is exactly as Forlorn Believer said. Blurry on detached limbs. That stupid darkening is not present luckily. Normally I would be upset, but I would be hard pressed to find an uncensored version. I know that there is an uncensored Japanese version, but I haven't had any luck finding it, and I hate watching fan subs anyway. My main issue was the darkening of scenes, and since that isn't on the DVD, I'm happy.
Chill people. If you want to know if its uncensored then just buy the DVD from amazon or something. If it is slightly censored then so what? At least you will have one of your favorite animes to watch with less censorship than what you'll find on a website or something.
