Darker than Black is a Sci-fi series with great action sequences, a good soundtrack, and they did a good job on both the original Japanese dub as well as the English localization.

The story of this series revolves around an event that happened ten years before the starting point of the series and its repercussions, the appearance of Heaven's Gate and Hell's Gate, the disappearance of the natural stars and the advent of individuals called 'Contractors'; a group of people with special abilities who must pay a price to use their powers and have all but surrendered their emotions for calm analytical minds. They exist in the shadows, between reality and rumor, and one Contractor is more enigmatic than the rest.
