Manga UK announced today that they will be releasing Dance in the Vampire Bund on DVD in the UK (unknown at this point if they will be releasing it on BD also).
It is already available to view in the UK via FUNimation's Youtube Channel so this is a sub-license from FUNimation.

Personally, I can't wait to see what the BBFC makes of the series, and one scene in particular...

It's not really a sublicense. They just buy our dub.
And again, the licensing process turns out to be more complicated than it first appears ^^;

Ah, you were right. This was a sublicense since we bought UK rights. ^^V (note to self - add sweatdrop smiley)
That's a relief - I wasn't sure if I was that wrong about how things work or if I'd run foul of some cloak of secrecy :steve:

is there a release date yet? we UK veiwers need our anime too!!!! and im reeeaaaal glad Funi didint edit this release. anime should always be enjoyed as it should be. after all if it was meant for children it would simply be a cartoon
Now this world will know pain!
It's due out on the 10th of October according to Manga (rated 15 and uncut), although Play.com an The Hut have it down for the 24th of October.

I'd be interested to see how this plays out. From what I've read, the UK ratings people can be a bit. . . for lack of a better term: crazy. I continue to roll my eyes at the over-the-top hyperbole that this series managed to generate though. I've heard less extreme claims from politicians.
English dubs rule! Spread the love, raise the profit, get more anime.
Nipa! Back on the forums after a computer crash! Nipa!

It's been rated 15.
There have only been three mandatory cuts to non-adult anime that I am aware of: Paranoia Agent, Code Geass and the entirety of one of the Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny extras.
What remains to be seen is what the Daily Mail makes of it

Dance in the Vampire Bund got a pretty nice release in the UK. The menu is better than Funimation's menu (took some time to find that the "bat" symbol is the "back" button) and not counting the trailers, they packed the same extras. The packaging is a dvd case only, and there are no BR disks bundled with it, however the price is much lower than the US price (UK: $20, US: $40).
Like I sad the menu is better, not just the buttons, but the backround picture and the backround music too. In the UK release Madman Entertainment put opening song ("Friends") as the backround music.
However there are 2 "fails" with the UK release:
-Madman did not encode the textless songs correctly from NTSC to PAL so both textless opening and ending under the extras have low quality sound that has been downmixed from 5.1 to 2.0, which has the sound quality if you were playing it from a box
-like I mentioned above, songs are not encoded properly, not even the audio file they used as background music in the menu
There are other minor, embarasing fails too, but would be long to write everything here too
