Ways to cosplay?

Hey. I'm new to cosplay and all so I was wondering what most of you people do. Do you make them, buy them on websites, etc.? (If you do order them, can you tell me the websites?) Thanks. wink

I make everything myself, it sometimes comes out as less costly.

Re: Ways to cosplay?

I make pretty much all my costumes now.

The best way to learn is of course practice. If any of your local stores have sewing classes, do that! But you'd be surprised at how much you can learn by watching youtube videos.

I've also bought from cosplaymagic.com and they're OK.

you will ALWAYS pay less when you make it on your own....until you get into mastery level costumes (my recent one is almost at $300)

Re: Ways to cosplay?

I've done everything from buy cosplays, to buy thrift store items or pieces off ebay (and sometimes have to alter them), and also make several from scratch. These days, I'm more likely to make my cosplays from scratch. kitty
