Cosplay Newbie

Kiu here...
I'm new to cosplay and I have a rather novice question to ask. When creating your own costume which method is better hand sewing it or using a sewing machine. I'd really appreciate some insight from some veterans or more experienced cosplayers.

Oh I would definetly use a sewing machine.. Hand sewing some costumes could take years.
