Great Nations Hangin' Out and Havin' Fun at NAKA-KON 2011!

Hey everyone, how's it going!

Naka-Kon 2011Josh is going to have a post up soon about all the AWESOMENESS that's going to go down at Katsucon 2011 in Washington D.C. (hint- it involves some Selecao and a whole lot of fresh anime), but for those of you in the Midwest, there will be some FUNimation goodness at Naka-Kon in Kansas City, MO! I'll be an industry guest at this fast growing convention, so if you're in the area, stop by for some good times and cool, exclusive stuff you won't want to miss. You might even learn a thing or two!

Follow me after the break to see all the nifty stuff we're planning to show YOU in the "Show-Me State" ...

The Hetalia that Almost Was - 1:00- 2:30 PM Saturday- EXHIBIT HALL

It’s history about history! This panel will show off  some of the early drafts and progression of various items used to promote the launch of Hetalia Axis Powers in North America. We will look at early cuts of the trailer (including placeholder music), early logos that were submitted and how they were approved as well as all the little things that went into bringing Hetalia to you. Have you ever wondered what went on behind the scenes during the launch of this fan favorite phenomenon?  What was it like working  with both Japan and the FUNimation creative team? Come to this panel and find out!

FUNimation Industry Panel- Sunday 1:00-2:00 PM - NEW YORK

Come see and hear about what’s new and upcoming from FUNimation Entertainment. We’ll be showing trailers, clips, talking about upcoming releases and perhaps even have some special announcements. A Q & A session will directly follow the presentation.

Summer Wars Q & A - Sunday 2:30- 3:30 PM - ATLANTA

Join me and the cast and crew of the hit anime film, Summer Wars, for a lively question and answer session. Koi Koi!

If you like cosplay and the like, I'll also be hosting the Cosplay as a Business panel Friday night 9:00- 1:00 PM in CHEAUTOU as well as judging the Masquerade Saturday evening. The rest of the time, you can spot me around the con in costume, filming goodies on the famous flippy-cam or both. Now that convention season is coming into full swing, expect some more Always Be Cosplaying segments to follow.  If you're at Naka-Kon, be sure to come say hi.

Before it's time to get back to gearing up for the trip, have you checked out the new Hetalia items over at TinierMe? The other day, I decided to work some of my lucky Gacha gets into my Selfy. Looks a little like a Princess!Germany.  The barrel really ties the whole look together, wouldn't you agree?

Enough with the silliness... it's time to get back to the prep!  See you at Naka-Kon! Ciao~!
