The largest convention that FUNimation takes part in is finally here. I've been planning for this show since the day I stepped through the doors at FUNimation, and now I finally get to lay it all out for you lucky anime fans!
First up, the really big news that we've been talking about since FUNiCon 4.0. Fans of Comic-Con International know that the show is big on one thing, which sadly isn't comics: EXCLUSIVES!!! This year FUNimation will be taking a bigger part in this tradition than in previous years. This go around we finally hit the big time. That's right: we have our own exclusives section on Comic-Con's website. Adam did a pretty good job introducing you to our Comic-Con exclusives in his recent blog post, so I don't need to say too much about the Luffy Mallow and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Shirt. I just want to point a few things you may not have noticed:
Josh and I have recovered from Anime Expo and are heading out to San Diego Comic-Con tomorrow to get everything ready for the big convention this week. Josh will have the full 411 on all things Comic-Con but I wanted to take a moment and highlight our two FUNimation booth exclusives for the con.
One of the best things about Comic-Con is picking up the exclusives from the exhibit hall. Generally these purchases can really make some of the best moments of the show better. This got me thinking. What other moments could have been made better with these exclusives included in them? After much research, deep thought, and inner searching for almost a full 10 minutes here is what I came up with using some very, very rushed photoshop skills.

We're about 5 days away from San Diego Comic-Con, aka Geek Retreat Week.
Here is the final video from the final day of this years Anime Expo. It was a great show and we had lots of fun. If you can't tell from this video we are all really, really tired.
Well here we are at the heart of the convention. Day 3 of Anime Expo. There was tons going on through out the day that we had to split up to cover it as best we could.
As promised here is the video we took from Day Two of Anime Expo. This one has a great amount more cheering and announcements and a whole lot less dudes without pants.
Sorry for the lateness of our Anime Expo videos. I must have called the internet's mom a bad name since it was not my friend over the weekend when it came to uploading videos. Better late than never right? Here is a video from our first day at AX. It was an amazing con as always. We will have a new video up each day for the next few days from Anime Expo. We hope you enjoy them.
For all who could not make it this year I hope these videos help share some of the fun we had. For those who were there - dude!
Its sunny out here in LA-LA Land. I just pulled open the curtains to see how it looks outside -- in my boy shorts. :P That was very Strike Witches-esque of me. Yeah, I'm waging a solitary war against pants in my hotel room right now. :) Thankfully no one seemed to have noticed from the street. Otherwise, I would've heard some fender-bender crash. No one would want that!
We have some refreshes today on Comcast VOD.
The first day of Anime Expo is winding down, so I think that calls for a blog post. It's been a busy day here in Los Angeles. Big crowds, lots of cosplay - you know, the usual. Today was pretty tiring so I'll make this short. We may even get a video up before the night's over, but I can't guarantee it. We've all been keeping busy, especially Josh since he's running the booth at AX for the first time. I have to commend him for his efforts despite some wrenches being thrown into the gears.
The weekend hasn't even started yet, so I'm sure there will be lots more to come, including some spe
