Its already Fall season and we are busy working on plans for the rest of this year and into next. Exciting times at the channel. In the meantime, we have a few updates on what's airing on Comcast VOD. Today's post will be short as we prepare for next week's 2nd announcement.
Are you planning to attend
New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con in October? The channel will be there at the FUNimation Entertainment booth. We will have channel request cards for con attendees to fill out. Stop by our booth, fill out the channel request cards and enter for a chance to win an anime prize pack worth $250. We might be giving stuff away at the show too. Follow the channel on
Twitter for up-to-date at-con news. Video providers need to hear from you - the viewers - that
YOU WANT YOUR FUNIMATION CHANNEL. This will be your chance to be heard and make a difference all the while trying to win some sweet swag.
Do you have VOD and still can't find us? We are found under the category called
The Cutting Edge and listed as
Funimation Anime. Our PPV VOD offers viewers a chance to watch new shows
before they street on DVD.

It sounds like a majority of viewers loved the channel's new look. Keep in mind that we are still in need of viewers calling and emailing their video providers and telling them to add
FUNimation Channel to their programming lineup, especially now that its in HD. The channel's programming will evolve as we continue to expand into more homes and more systems. Very soon we will announce a major expansion that will become available nationwide. And they are just as excited as we are about being a part of their programming lineup. We have all kinds of good things planned.
Next month, we'll be in New York for
NYAF/NYCC. We will be giving away something awesome at the show so if you are attending, you will need to follow the channel on
Twitter to know when we are giving away something at the show. We'll have channel request sign-ups so viewers can request that their video provider can add the 24/7 FUNimation Channel to their lineup.

We are going to try some thing new and fun while at Anime Weekend Atlanta this weekend. We will be broadcasting live from time to time through out many different places and events at the convention. So keep checking back here to see our live feed. We will tweet a few mins before we go live, so I recommend following us on
Twitter if you haven't already so you don't miss an update.
I say try with these live broadcasts since we haven't done this before and are not sure how it will work until we do it.

It has been a busy month of cons for me. After my antics at Kumoricon and Nan Desu Kan, I'm finally hitting up my last September con: Anime Weekend Atlanta. I haven't been East of the Mississippi since Otakon and
Anime NEXT, so it'll be nice to come back to this coast.
Gift With Purchase!
Hetalia Season One finally came out this week, so make sure you stop by the FUNimation booth and pick up your copy. It's been a little hard to get so far, so don't miss your chance this weekend! Don't forget that people who spend $50 or more at the booth will get a limited edition
White Hetalia Bandana (limit one per person). It's only the third time that you'll get a chance to snag this rare promo to complete the set of Hetalia Bandanas, as you can get a Magenta Axis-themed Bandana in first printings of the Part One DVD and a Blue Allied-themed Bandana in first printings of the Part Two DVD! (Pre-order the DVDs online now! It's the best way that you make sure that you'll get the goods!) I'll also be passing out a few pieces of the
Hetalia Mural Postcards each day, so keep stopping by the booth to get all four pieces.

Also available with a $100 purchase are our sturdy,
Casshern Sins Metal Posters! There is a limit of one gift per purchase, so choose carefully the one that you want to get!

Just in time to avoid the Hurricane, I am flying out of Texas this weekend and heading straight for Nan Desu Kan in Denver, Colorado. There are a few events going on, and I personally plan to take part in the
Charity Poker Tournament this weekend if I can find the time. (Did I ever tell you guys that I'm a National Champion card player?)
Con Exclusives!
Last week I
may have mentioned that
Corpse Princess Parts One and Two would be for sale at Kumoricon. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time for the con, so now Nan Desu Kan will be the first con to have Corpse Princess available for purchase. Stop by the booth and pick it up before you can get it in stores, we'll also have a limited number of
Corpse Princess Posters to give away for free. And while supplies last, if you purchase both parts of Corpse Princess at the booth this weekend then we will give you an exclusive promo red
Corpse Princess Shirt as a gift with purchase!

Our wonderful friends at
iTunes are once again partnering with FUNimation Entertainment to bring you more free anime. This is a special exclusive just for our Canadian fans. Yes, Canada, we do love you too.
Now, just how do you get this tasty anime? Attend
Fan Expo this weekend
August 27 - 29 at the
Metro Toronto Convention Centre. iTunes will be handing out thousands of promo cards (see below) in and around the convention. This is the largest fan gathering in Canada so we're super pleased to be working with iTunes to get more free anime to you.
