Last weekend was a lot of fun. The channel received a ton of support from NYCC/NYAF convention goers each day. In addition, I spent a little time talking with Puffy AmiYumi and Boom Boom Satellites before their Far East to East 2010 concert; which was incredibly fun. We're currently editing the interviews so it will take a while but we promise to post them once they are good to go. I'll show NYAF/NYCC highlights in pictures after the jump.
At NYAF / NYCC 2010, we debuted the first 2 episodes of the English for Black Butler, as well as held a special Q&A panel with Ian Sinclair (ADR Director, Bardroy) and J. Michael Tatum (Sebastian). Below you'll find a quick sneak peek of the events. Full video will be posted to FUNimation.com soon. I can give you a quick description of what happened... lots of squeeing.
Here's a quick snippet of some of the stuff we had going on at this past weekend's NYAF / NYCC. We'll have the full length videos available on FUNimation.com shortly, such as the FUNimation Industry Panel, Sengoku Basara Panel, and Black Butler Panel.
Here's another tidbit from our trip to New York Anime Fest / Comic Con. We debuted the Summer Wars trailer at the end of our FUNimation Industry Panel with special guest Mike McFarland talking a little bit about being the ADR Director for the full length animated feature.

New York Anime Fest starts today! We are having some fun with the little dude from our FUNimation.com ad's at the con and handing out pop-out 'make your own ad' sheets at our booth. The new FUNimation.com is your anime video community and it only makes sense for you all to make an ad for it. We of course don't want to limit this fun to just the people attending New York Anime Fest this weekend. We want to include all of you as well. So we have uploaded the sheet to this post for you all to make your own ad as well.
Here at FUNimation Entertainment it's very difficult for us not to do something this fun without wanting to tie a contest with it to give out some prizes.
Why fight what works. Here are the contest details:
Its nice to be back in NYC. The weather gives off that perfect Fall feeling. Are you attending NYAF/NYCC this weekend? Stop by the FUNimation Entertainment booth and say "hi!" to me and another of our channel reps. We are giving away limited edition t-shirts throughout the show. You'll need to follow FUNimation Channel on Twitter to know when I will be giving away the shirts. Don't want to cause a riot or call the attention of the NY Fire Marshall :nyu:
Also, we have the popular channel request cards that make a whole world of difference to us at those meetings. Want FUNimation Channel HD on your cable or satellite service? Then stop by the booth and fill out one of these cards. You'll also be entered for a chance to win an anime prize pack worth $250. And if you can't make it to the show, you can still make a difference by visiting our Get FUNimation Channel site. Use it for your grassroot petitions.
We are about three days away from the show and things are picking up steam here. At last, folks on the Eastern Seaboard get a chance to pick up one of our limited edition t-shirts that we were giving away over the summer on the West Coast.
We made it to October. Can you believe that? This year is almost over. Time truly flies. We'd like to thank viewers and fans for continuing to support our channel expansion. Don't feel discouraged if we are not yet available on your video provider's service. Continue to make some noise and reach out to your video provider's customer service. Go ahead and contact them to let them know that you want FUNimation Channel HD 24/7.

Here's a promo for you to share with friends and readers after the jump:
It's just a couple weeks till Sengoku Basara hits DVD, Blu-ray, PS3 and Wii. That's 4 different platforms all at once. By teaming up with Capcom, we're going to war on retail shelves by hitting them with Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings (anime) and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes (game). You can pick both of them up on October 12, 2010.
You can maybe even get the anime earlier if you're at New York Comic Con / Anime Festival. Both Capcom and FUNimation will have booths, and we've got some epic events planned involving samurai armies, war flags, and free Japanese figures. More details to come. If you know you're going to be there, be sure to RSVP on our Facebook Event Listing to let us know so you can be a part of the action. Our free swag is limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. To get extra hyped about Basara, watch these clips from both the anime and game.
