The purpose of this thread is to make ORIGINAL names for this series, since funimation obviously does not like Let's play and Bombshells from the Sky for some reason.
Rules: 1 titles must be in English 2 be civil to everyone at all times 3 please try to keep the title something similar to Let's play, Bombshells from the sky, or Cat planet cuties this due to the necessities of promoting the show in the US, and that lowest common denominator does actually sell well for them. so lets show a title that can SELL yet you can still show to your friends without saying it is not actually that bad.

Mission Catalia (from the opening mission impossible spoof, and does anyone know how to spell their plants spelling?)

Let's give funimation recommendations for a title for the series
If a straight-to-DVD release needs a translated name then how about a direct translation of the title; "Let's Go Play" or "We Come to Play". The latter being a looser translation but is a parody of the alien cliche "We com in peace." and retains the general vagueness the author was going for.

funny but I think funimation might like the final boobtier more. sex sells sadly.

I think they should keep the original Japanese title in the name like they did with Shikabane Hime and play on the fact that the one organization was upset with the Catians being the worlds first alien contact such as:

I wouldn't mind something not sleazy at all like what the title is currently. I do agree with MicroChip on the point where they should keep the original title and just add something extra. It makes the series easier to find and look up online. Though i'll offer my title recommendation too~~

But then make the font somewhat cute like. Add a few flowers or the font can be kitten like with an smiley or kissy face emote at the end. Or even just a heart matching Eris's hair color and add a tail to it.
I agree that the title should remain unchanged, and I'm hoping Funimation will do the same as ADV with Utawarerumono. They had planned to rename the series "Shadow Warrior Chronicles," which doesn't even come close to the original title or the heart of the show. Didn't even make sense. Warrior? Yes. Chronicles? Sure. Shadow? Um, what? Nowhere close to "The One For Whom Legends Are Sung," which is really important for the big reveal. ADV did away with the renaming, and gave the first DVD the translation of the original Japanese. Keeping it as "Asobi ni Iku Yo!" and putting the subtitle "We've Come to Play!" would be in keeping with the heart of the show. That is, after all, Eris' original declaration, and what they say at every eye-catch.
Calling it "Cat Planet Cuties" or even something semi-series would detract from the series. The show is, after all, a comedy about Kio and Co. dealing with people who have come to learn about earth, with most of the latter's research focusing on earth, i.e. Japanese, common culture. Even "Come Play With Us" would miss the point, because the Catians have come to earth to play. "Come Play With Us" has more the context of "We want you to come to us."
I also think that any title change would alienate (no pun intended) the original fanbase, and hell hath no fury like an otaku scorned.
Edit: I would also prefer the series be released unedited, hopefully with the OVA, but I say that as a person who is equal parts mature and immature.
