multiple funimation employs

like who? Post the messages if you have them.

I will not post messages in their entirely as they where private messages but at cons and online multiple high level employs, even employs on the acquisition team, have said that while they would love to get more case closed TV, they could not afford the liscensing cost and that more movies are possible as they have been selling well.
P.S. enough fans hate funimations treatment of case closed, and if they skipped over any episode they felt was key or needed to be released they would not support the release. it's to risky to burn an already burned fanbase.

Really hmm!

I am one of the oldest members from the previous forum, I am not lying, just because I refuse to tell you which employs told me does not mean I am lying, besides you would not even know who I was referring to anyway, when I was a newb I knew not to try and troll the older members

Careful with the accusations lest you start a flame war.

You've made a claim and asked the poster to accept it without evidence, to which his response was skepticism. That's a fairly logical reaction. Especially from a newer member who may not be aware of your reputation for honesty.

Being an elder forumite means having a responsibility to set a good example. You could have simply told the poster to ask your sources directly or told them you'd ask your sources if you could reveal what they told you to them. Unless you've signed a non-disclosure agreement or you work for Funimation, whatever they told you probably isn't exactly classified information.

Actually no. Originally, FOXkids was going to get Detective Conan and dub it and put it in their original line up. But it was dropped due to the majority of the series being homicides. So no kid's channel could get it.

ya that is why the company that had it sold it to funimation, which is why it got put on adult swim, the other extreme that obviously did not work out

I wonder if the grass root campaign to save the show has been noticed by FUNimation.

Funny after all of those years of people watching free and never buying anything everyone is now screaming please don't drop it.

Personally I didn't now there were anymore episodes past what had aired on Cartoon Network early morning.I only caught up thriugh OnDemand and still love the show.

I think the show is popular and just got a raw deal all they way 'round. Poor promoting by FUNi, bad time slot by CN and gimme it free fans.

Re: The Status of Case Closed (Updated 4/21/2011)

I really wish they would try to fix this 'problem'. I want more Case Closed, put off getting season 4 and 5 and the movies solely because I think, "What's the point? I won't get it all anyway." So I get to sit and think about it and how much it sucks.

I'm sure if they tried again, they could get the series to become more popular. I mean the fact that there's no legitimate (that I've seen) way to watch Case Closed online (YouTube, Netflix, Hulu [even though I can't use it] etc.) doesn't exactly lend well to getting NEW fans into the series. hmm

So how can sales ever grow, if there's no way for people to actually see the show? Which leaves people who probably already have everything, or see no point in buying the rest because Funi doesn't seem to give a hoot about trying to make the series a profitable anime.

I mean, without YouTube I never would have found Fairy Tail, and wouldn't have ever preordered it. Without Netflix, I wouldn't be planning to buy a bunch of other anime from Funi either.

-sigh- /babbling
