Conventions 2016 – We’re heading to NYCC

The Big Apple. The City that Never Sleeps. New York. From Broadway to Time Square, this iconic city doesn’t do anything in small proportions which is why we’re bringing a GIANT line-up with us to New York Comic Con this year.

From towering Titans, to the colossal king of monsters himself, Godzilla; we’re pulling out the stops to make this a huge event. Join familiar faces Justin, Tara, Scott, Tim, Alex, and me (Lauren!) as we bring you everything Funimation has to offer this weekend!


NYCC 2016 – Destination: Funimation

Meet & greets, photos, prizes, and more — we’re bringing you the full Funimation experience, whether you have a badge to the con or not!

If you’re in New York this Saturday, stop by Destination: Funimation @ Stitch NYC 247 W. 37th between 7th & 8th, an all-day lounge where you can see clips of what’s up & coming from Funimation including the new films; Shin Godzilla and Attack on Titan: The Movie. While at the lounge get your picture taken with Godzilla, step into the Assassination Classroom photobooth, and hop into the Anime Confessional to record a message to share with the world about your love for anime.

Logic and Steve Blum Autograph Signing at NYCC


Our friend and anime fan, Logic, is having his first panel at New York Comic-Con to promote his upcoming album The Incredible True Story.  Inspirations in creating the album varied from Cowboy Bebop to film directors Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino. Even Steve Blum, the voice of Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop, is a part of the album! You can find out more about Logic by watching our FUNimation Show interview with him here.

New York Comic Con starts on Thursday, and we’ve got a TON planned for the city that never sleeps. Panels, and premieres, and events, oh my!

Lost Girl tells the story of Bo, a young woman forced to run from place to place due to mysterious powers she cannot understand nor control. Bo learns that she is actually a member of an ancient race of mythological and fantastical creatures called the Fae.
