Ask the Japanese Voice Cast of “In Search of the Lost Future” Your Questions!

in search of lost futureAny seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) fans out there? We’ve worked with our Japanese licensing partners to give you a rare chance to ask the Japanese voice cast for “In Search of the Lost Future” (Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete) some questions. If you haven’t heard of this series before it’s our new sci-fi/mystery/romance fall simulcast based on the successful bishoujo game visual novel!

In Search of the Lost Future is based on a school-life romance visual novel, but don’t be fooled by its ordinary setting–this isn’t just a “sad girls in snow” slice of life drama. From the cryptic sci-fi imagery at the start of Episode 1 to the shocking turn at the end, this anime has some hints of a surprise twist with a supernatural bent. Sou Akiyama and the girls of the Astronomy Club solve problems around the school, but when a mysterious (naked) girl appears and joins their ranks, their fates begin to change…

What’s it like voicing these characters? What do the actors think of the plot twists? Send us your questions for the cast by Monday, October 27th, and we’ll choose some to send to Japan to get answered! You can post them in the comments below, on our Facebook thread, or on Twitter with the hastag #LostFutureQuestions. For reference, the cast is below; please keep the questions related to “In Search of the Lost Future” or voice acting in general.

Bayonetta Combo 3d mock

synopsis:

The cutting-edge studio behind Afro Samurai brings to life the sexy, stylish, and undeniably-badass video game vixen who prowls the shadows of your wildest dreams.

Based on the best-selling franchise, this pulse-pounding feature length anime shows you a side of Bayonetta you’ve never seen before! Twenty years after her awakening, the hottest witch in gaming history is still searching for clues that could help unravel the mysteries of her dark past. Aided in her quest by the clandestine weapon smith Rodin – and his deadly creations: Scarborough Fair – Bayonetta continues to leave a trail of angel corpses in her irresistible wake. Her search for answers leads to encounters with a mysterious – and eerily familiar – little girl, a vengeance-obsessed journalist, and a deadly white-haired beauty that seems to know more about Bayonetta than the witch herself. Regarding the Home Video Rights for Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

free md art

We’ve been getting a lot of questions today regarding the Anime News Network Answerman column, where Justin Sevakis states that Crunchyroll holds the home video rights for Free! Season 1. We know that many of you fans have been very curious about the home video rights situation, ever since our initial announcement of the simulcast of season 2 (Free! -Eternal Summer-).

We would absolutely love to make an English dub for season 1 and distribute it on home video, and we would be more than happy to work with Crunchyroll to make it happen. We have reached out to Crunchyroll to see if they would be interested in collaborating on this release; however, we have not heard back yet. Stay tuned for future developments though—we’re excited to report that we will be announcing the dub cast for season 2 very soon, so please follow our Free! -Eternal Summer- Facebook page or Tumblr to be the first to hear the news!

Scarlett Johansson May Star in Ghost in the Shell

It looks like Hollywood is going all out for the live-action Ghost in the Shell movie adaptation and could include some big names like Scarlett Johansson.  Word is that The Wolf of Wallstreet‘s Margot Robbie was originally in talks for the lead role of Motoko Kusanagi, but that may have been put on hold since she began negotiations for Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad. Now, an article on JoBlo.com reports that Johansson has been offered a large chunk of money to step in!
